A Double Dose Of Andrew Freeman This Weekend: Def Leppard To Preaching The Gospel of Rock n' Roll

{My Spotlight Today}

Last In Line. Great White. The Offspring. DIO Rules, Lynch Mob. Raiding The Rock Vault. That's just part of the musical trail blazed by Andrew Freeman. Whether he's commanding the stage, laying down tracks in the studio, lending his voice to major projects, or collecting honors as a Rock Godz Hall of Famer, Freeman brings the kind of talent and versatility that few can match. Singer, songwriter, producer, voice-over pro, and all-around rock 'n' roll powerhouse, he's the real deal.
Simply put, what a ridiculously talented dude!

I know this has been one heck of an introduction, but Andrew Freeman has earned every word of it.
Just last week, I watched him bring the house down in Raiding The Rock Vault.

Tonight, he's swapping arenas of classic rock history for full-throttle Def Leppard firepower as he takes the stage with Pyromania Def Leppard Tribute Band at the Tuscany Suites' Copa Room.

This Sunday, October 25, Andrew Freeman will once again step behind the microphone to preach the gospel of rock 'n' roll at 3 p.m. in the Tuscany Suites Copa Room.

For local rock fans, it doesn't get much better than this. In a city where most performers are lucky to connect with audiences in one great show, Freeman gives fans the rare opportunity to experience multiple sides of his musical personality on local stages. One night he's channeling the arena-rock energy of Def Leppard; another he's delivering the message of Rock n' Roll, saves the soul!

That's the beauty of following Andrew Freeman in Las Vegas. You're not just seeing the same performance repeated night after night. You're watching a world-class vocalist, songwriter, producer, and performer reinvent himself from stage to stage, while bringing the same passion, power, and authenticity every time he steps into the spotlight. For fans, it's like getting an all-access pass to one of rock's hardest-working and most versatile frontmen, right here in their own backyard. 🤘🎤🔥

Andrew, You RAWK!

Three Voices One Legacy: My Top Picks-Pick For Quiet Riot’s Next Frontman

I’ve been a Quiet Riot lifer for as long as my memory’s got electricity. So, when this teaser photo dropped, it didn’t just catch my eye — it hit me like a spotlight flipping on in a dark club. And yeah, during my career, I’ve thrown this band their share of kudos, more than once, because they earned it.

Now here we are, staring at a mystery wrapped in a promo shot, and I can’t help but let my old instincts kick in. During serving my time in the media army, fifteen years I worked as a research journalist — digging, chasing, connecting dots — let’s see if those muscles still flex the way they used to!

Starting with who’s in the scene, actually qualified, and who’s publicly admitted they’ve thrown an audition tape into the Quiet Riot ring — that’s where the hunt begins.

No rumor‑mill noise, no backstage whispers, just the names and voices the public knows stepped up and said, “Yeah, I want that mic!”

Based on solid industry sources and fan‑driven reporting, two frontmen have stepped out of the shadows and publicly thrown their hats into Quiet Riot’s vocalist search.

Ian Kurz – Destroyer (KISS tribute band) Kurz made his move in July 2026, when Kiss Asylum spotlighted his audition tape. His video — posted July 20 — shows him tearing into “Cum On Feel the Noize” and laying out his credentials as a long‑haul touring singer. He’s spent more than 13 years fronting one of Canada’s biggest KISS tribute acts, comfortable with or without a guitar strapped on.

John Torra – Fire ’N Ice Torra, the New Jersey frontman of Fire ’N Ice, also went public with his audition. Metal Sludge picked up the story, noting his videos channel, and his classic Kevin DuBrow energy. His performances drew praise from across the rock world — former Quiet Riot singer James Durbin, Vixen’s Britt Lightning, Great White’s Brett Carlisle, Lita Ford, and drummer Rikki Rockett, all gave him nods. Torra’s since talked about the process in interviews and YouTube breakdowns.

While plenty of names have been tossed around in fan chatter and industry buzz, only Ian Kurz and John Torra stand as confirmed cases in reputable outlets — the only two vocalists publicly known to have sent real audition tapes or videos to Quiet Riot’s management.

I've got one to add ....

Could Jason McMaster Be More Than a Temporary Frontman?

Jason McMaster is the guy Quiet Riot trusts to keep the engine running while the new vocalist finishes whatever obligations are keeping him offstage. He’s a seasoned pro, a road‑tested voice from Dangerous Toys and Watchtower, and he’s already proven he can step into a legacy band without flinching.

So, the question hangs in the air like feedback off a hot amp:

Could McMaster not only front the band until the official singer is announced — could he be the announcement himself?

Or maybe a lone ranger is about to crash through the spotlight — a single voice riding in from nowhere, ready to grab the Quiet Riot mic and blow the whole scene wide open.

I've got my pick, but it's a secret too!

A Match Made In Metal: Why Sebastian Bach Is The Perfect Fit For Twisted Sister

Sebastian Bach is set to join Twisted Sister for a select run of fall tour dates this year. The official announcement just dropped yesterday—so yeah, the rock world is definitely buzzing about it right now. They haven’t laid out the exact dates yet, but it’s clear Bach is jumping in to fill Dee Snider’s shoes for a handful of shows, and it’s all set to happen this fall.

{Here's my take}

Why I think that Sebastian Bach is poised to shine as lead vocalist for Dee Snider and Twisted Sister later this year.

Few frontmen in rock history carry the kind of firepower, theatricality, and unapologetic attitude that define both Sebastian Bach and Twisted Sister. So, when talk surfaces about Bach stepping in to sing lead for Dee Snider and the band this year, it doesn’t feel like a stretch—it feels like a natural collision of two explosive forces built from the same era, the same DNA, and the same commitment to loud, defiant, arena‑sized rock and roll.

Here’s why Bach is not only a strong fit, but why he could absolutely excel in the role.

Twisted Sister’s catalog demands a vocalist who can deliver big, chest‑pounding, high‑octane vocals—the kind that cut through walls of guitars and command a crowd. Sebastian Bach has that weapon.

  • His upper‑range belts remain sharp and aggressive

  • His tone carries that classic metal edge without losing clarity

  • He’s proven he can still hit the signature screams that defined his Skid Row era

Songs like “I Wanna Rock,” “The Kids Are Back,” and “Under the Blade” require a frontman who can go full throttle. Bach thrives in that lane.

Bach isn’t a nostalgia act. He’s a living, breathing product of the same 80s metal culture that Twisted Sister helped shape. He knows the attitude. He knows the swagger. He knows the showmanship.

This isn’t a singer stepping into a tribute role. This is a peer stepping into a legacy.

Let’s be honest: replacing Dee Snider isn’t just about singing the songs. It’s about commanding the stage with the same theatrical bravado, humor, and rebellious charisma that made Dee one of rock’s most iconic frontmen.

Sebastian Bach has always been a showman first and a vocalist second. He knows how to:

  • Work a crowd

  • Build tension

  • Deliver punchlines

  • Push the energy to the edge of chaos

Twisted Sister’s music is built for that kind of personality.

Twisted Sister’s brand has always been about defiance, empowerment, and loud, unapologetic individuality. Bach has lived that message his entire career.

He’s outspoken. He’s larger than life. He’s unfiltered in a way that feels authentic—not manufactured.

That alignment matters. Fans can smell when a frontman doesn’t fit the spirit of the band. Bach fits it naturally.

Twisted Sister fans and Sebastian Bach fans overlap heavily, but not completely. Bringing Bach into the fold would:

  • Pull in younger rock fans who discovered him through Broadway, TV, or solo tours

  • Re‑energize classic metal fans who grew up with both bands

  • Add a fresh spark without changing the band’s identity

It’s the rare move that expands the tent without changing the show.

One of the biggest reasons this works: Sebastian Bach still performs with the hunger of a guy chasing his first record deal.

He doesn’t coast. He doesn’t phone it in. He doesn’t rely on nostalgia to carry the night.

Twisted Sister’s music demands intensity, and Bach still brings it every time he steps onstage.

When Sebastian Bach fronts Twisted Sister this year, it won’t feel like a replacement—it’ll feel like a continuation of the same rebellious, high‑energy spirit that made both acts legendary. He has the voice, the attitude, the showmanship, and the legacy to honor Dee Snider’s role while bringing his own fire to the stage.

In a year where rock fans are craving authenticity and spectacle, Bach stepping in for Dee Snider could be one of the most electric moves in many a year!

So You've been Asked To Be A Last-Minute Lead Singer Fill-In For A Band That You've Never Played With !

So, you're a new vocalist in the music industry, and you've been asked to be a last-minute fill-in for the lead singer of a band that you've never performed with? That’s a high-pressure task, but a totally doable gig if you stay calm and focused.

Here are some suggestions for how to handle the job like a pro!

Get the Essentials ASAP

Setlist: Even a rough version helps. Prioritize the most likely songs.

Recordings: Ask for any live videos, rehearsal recordings, or even a phone video from a recent show.

Lyrics/Charts: Grab song lyrics if available.

Prioritize the Set

Triage the songs: Focus first on the songs you must lead vocally (especially openers, closers, and crowd favorites).

Familiar tunes? Knock those out first — even if your version is a bit different, confidence sells it.

Don’t sweat perfection: If you’re not 100% on every word, own the vibe. Energy > accuracy in a pinch.

Communicate With the Band

Meet before the set (or during setup): Ask for any “watch-me” cues or unusual arrangements.

Use Onstage Crutches (if needed)

Lyric sheets/iPad: Totally acceptable in emergencies — just don’t live in them. Glance and go.

Monitors: Make sure you can hear yourself. Confidence takes a hit if you can’t.

Own the Stage

Be bold, even if you’re winging a verse. People want a show — give it to them.

Smile, move, and keep the crowd engaged. Your presence can smooth over any lyrical fuzz.

Keep It Cool

If something goes off the rails? Laugh it off. The band will appreciate your calm and flexibility.

{My Take}

Remember: You're helping them out on very short notice. If there are a few mistakes, so be it!

It is what it is! Do the show and go on. It's worth the experience!
