FIVE BIG GLIMMERING MIRROR BALLS FOR WONDERBOOGIE: The Ultimate 70's Disco Band And Show!

 Orleans Hotel Casino

Las Vegas, Nevada

Saturday Night: March 21st, 2026

If you want to know what pure Las Vegas entertainment feels like, spend one night with Wonderboogie, the city’s longest‑running, most successful ’70s disco tribute band. Their show at The Orleans on Saturday night was nothing short of a time‑machine blast back into the golden age of funk, polyester, and platform shoes.

Wonderboogie has been lighting up Las Vegas stages for many years, building a reputation as the undisputed kings of the disco revival. They’ve survived every trend, every venue change, every shift in the Vegas entertainment landscape—because they deliver something timeless: A party. A vibe. A full‑blown disco experience!

Saturday’s lineup was a powerhouse:

  • Jiffy Papageorgio – Lead Vocals A voice built for disco—strong, soulful, and soaring. Jiffy doesn’t just sing the hits; he commands them. Every note felt like it came straight off a vintage vinyl record.

  • Rolo McFlurry – Lead Guitar Sharp, funky, and dripping with groove. Rolo’s guitar lines cut through the room like a neon beam, giving every classic that authentic ’70s shimmer.

  • Franklin “Boom Boom” Washington – Bass The heartbeat of the band. Boom Boom’s bass lines were thick, warm, and impossible not to move to. He’s the reason the dance floor stayed packed all night.

  • Roscoe “DaMoonman” Jenkins – Drums A rhythmic machine. DaMoonman kept the entire room locked into the groove with precision, swagger, and that unmistakable disco pocket.

Wonderboogie rolled through the biggest hits of the disco era, each one delivered with Vegas‑level polish:

  • Funkytown

  • Celebration

  • Dancing Queen

  • Boogie Shoes

  • Car Wash

  • Shake Your Booty

  • And dozens more…

If the song was a disco hit, Wonderboogie does it—and they do it right!

The crowd lit up for the Cupid Shuffle and the always‑iconic Love Train, forming lines, circles, and spontaneous dance mobs that made the entire showroom feel like a 1978 nightclub.

For a moment, you could swear you were back in bell‑bottom jeans, hot pants, and platform shoes, surrounded by the glitter and glamour of the original disco craze.

Wonderboogie isn’t just a tribute band—they’re a Las Vegas institution, a living, breathing reminder of why this city became the entertainment capital of the world.

Go see them. Experience them. Dance with them. You’ll understand immediately why they’ve lasted so long and why the crowds keep coming back for more!

As for me? {My Take}

Nerds Gone Wild: The Spazmatics Las Vegas Blow The Roof Off Santa Fe Station's Chrome Showroom LV!

The Spazmatics Las Vegas turned the Santa Fe Station’s Chrome Showroom into a full‑blown 1980s time machine last night, and the crowd never stopped moving. These self‑proclaimed nerds—who perform with the swagger of full‑tilt rock stars—hit the stage in front of a standing‑room‑only crowd and instantly had the dance floor packed. From the first synth stab to the final guitar riff, the energy never dipped for a second.

What makes a Spazmatics Las Vegas show so addictive is the collision of precision musicianship and unapologetic geek‑theatrics. They’re tight, polished, and wildly entertaining, delivering every song with the kind of punch that reminds you why these hits became anthems in the first place. But they also lean into the nerd persona so hard that you can’t help but love them for it.

So, what exactly did I witness and listen to last night? Was the packed Chrome Showroom listening to one of the premier live bands in the world working last night, or were we watching a group of talented nerds simply having the time of their lives onstage?

Honestly, that’s the magic of The Spazmatics Las Vegas. They’re both!

{My Take}

In the end, the Spazmatics Las Vegas didn’t just play a show—they detonated a neon‑soaked, nostalgia‑fueled party that had the entire Chrome Showroom dancing like it was prom night in 1985. Whether they’re elite musicians disguised as lovable nerds or lovable nerds who just happen to be elite musicians is a mystery best solved in person. One thing’s certain: if you want a night packed with laughs, energy, and wall‑to‑wall hits, this world‑class band is waiting to blow your mind all over again.

I give these nerds, I mean rock star musicians, five (5) big stars!

Go see these talented nerds, rock star musicians!

Classic Rock In Costume: Blue String Theory Haunts Sunset Station Side Lawn For A Halloween Night To Remember

 Last night, the side lawn at Sunset Station Hotel Casino transformed into a high-voltage celebration of Classic Rock and Halloween spirit, courtesy of the powerhouse tribute band Blue String Theory. For ninety electrifying minutes, the group delivered a setlist packed with rock anthems that had fans singing, dancing, and reveling in the spooky season.

Frontman Brian Pollack commanded the stage with gritty vocals and charismatic energy, channeling the soul of rock legends with every note.

Kevin Woodall shredded lead guitar solos that soared into the night air,

while Lonnie NaVeau laid down thunderous bass lines that kept the groove alive.

Scott Mayhood doubled up on keys and guitar, adding rich textures and melodic depth,

while James Sloan drove the heartbeat of the show with precision and punch behind the drums.

Much of the crowd was dressed in Halloween costumes ranging from glam-rock ghouls to vintage vinyl vamps, as well as scary witches and cartoon characters, which mirrored the band’s own festive attire, making the entire lawn feel like a haunted rock party!

{My Take}

What a killer way to spend Halloween, surrounded by costumes, classic rock, and the electric energy of Blue String Theory under the Vegas sky. If you missed last night’s show at Sunset Station, don’t sweat it. The band is back in action tonight, Saturday, November 1st, at Viva Tequila Cantina.

Blue String Theory always brings their A-Game to the stage.

They're one of the longest-running bands in LV!

I give them five (5) Big Rock N' Stars as always!

 Saturday Night, August 23, 2025

After a very trying week, I headed to Arizona Charlie's on North Decatur to catch one of my all-time favorite local bands in Las Vegas. I needed a dose of High Octane! Last night, the Coverall Lounge inside Arizona Charlie's turned into a full-blown dance party marathon.

Including "Play That Funky Music", "Boogie Shoes", "Hold On Loosely", "Bad Girls", "Sweet Child Of Mine", "Cupid Shuffle", "Highway To Hell", "Summer Of '69", and "You Shook Me All Night Long".  And that's exactly what High Octane did last night! The dance floor was full and was shaking "All Night Long"!

Rockin’ the Chrome: The Spazmatics Las Vegas Brought 80s Nostalgia to Life Last Night Inside Of The Santa Fe Station Hotel Casino

 Last night, The Spazmatics LV transformed the Chrome Showroom inside Santa Fe Station into a retro time machine that transported fans back to the neon-soaked heyday of the 1980s. With their signature blend of tight musicianship, off-the-wall attire, and unbridled energy, the band delivered an unforgettable set that had the crowd dancing the night away.

This isn’t The Spazmatics' first rodeo at the Chrome Showroom, the vibrant, 510-seat venue is a favorite for both performers and fans alike. Known for its excellent acoustics, plush seating, and intimate layout, the Chrome creates the ideal atmosphere for groups looking to deliver a high-voltage live experience.

Doors opened at 8:00 PM, and by 9:00, the stage was electrified with pulsing synths, slick guitars, and the unmistakable vibe of the 80s, all complete with skinny ties, Brylcreem hair, and horn-rimmed glasses. From flaming solos to infectious rhythms, The Spazmatics delivered an adrenaline-fueled concert filled with nostalgia and flair.

I've never seen the dance floor so full that fans were dancing in the aisles! And never let up from the first song through the Spazmatics finale. The evening felt like a communal celebration, with longtime locals and first-timers alike belting out lyrics and reliving the soundtrack of their youth. After two hours of tight arrangements and longing glances back to the past, the show wrapped up around 11:00 PM with the crowd still hungry for more!

Nestled inside the Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino, the Chrome Showroom is Las Vegas’ hidden gem when it comes to live music. Whether catching polished cover acts or engaging originals, audiences keep coming back for the venue’s relaxed but vibrant environment, and when The Spazmatics show up, the attraction is simply irresistible!

{My Take}

For anyone who was there, the night was more than a performance; it was an exhilarating, communal flashback to an era where the music was as bold as the outfits. And if you missed it, don’t worry, the whispers on the scene hint that The Spazmatics will be back before you know it.

Long Live The Spazmatics!
