In A City Full of Entertainment: The Ikons Of Rock Continues to Shine Bright At The Strat Las Vegas!

Since returning to National News Media management, one of my primary responsibilities has been keeping my eyes and ears on the music and entertainment scene here in my hometown of Las Vegas, while also spotlighting the many positive things happening throughout our city. Today, one Strip production stands out in my mind above many others. It's a show that not only entertains audiences' night after night but also serves as a perfect example of what it takes to thrive in one of the most competitive entertainment markets on the planet. Here's the story behind this amazing show.

Let's face it, this is Las Vegas. The Entertainment Capital of the World is packed with superstar residencies, blockbuster productions, sold-out concerts, comedy shows, sporting events, and enough bright lights to be seen from outer space. Every single night, visitors and Vegas locals alike have countless options competing for their attention. So how does a venue rise above the noise and convince people to choose its show over the hundreds of others happening across the city? The answer is simple. It has to offer more than just another performance. It has to deliver an experience that people can't stop talking about.

The venues that consistently win the battle for ticket sales are the ones that create something unique. Whether it's jaw-dropping production, audience interaction, larger-than-life performances, or unforgettable moments that leave fans buzzing long after the final encore, the goal is to give people something they can't find anywhere else. Value also plays a huge role. Not everyone wants to spend a fortune on a night out, and smart venues understand that. Affordable ticket prices, easy parking, comfortable seating, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere can be just as important as what's happening on stage.

Word-of-mouth remains one of the most powerful forces in entertainment. A great show review, enthusiastic social media posts, viral videos, and fans telling their friends, "You've got to see this!" can generate the kind of buzz that money simply can't buy. The most successful venues also know how to create personal connections. Fans remember performers who take the time to sign autographs, pose for photos, shake hands, and show genuine appreciation. Those moments transform casual attendees into loyal supporters who return again and again.

Just as importantly, successful venues recognize that tourists are only half the audience. Vegas locals are the backbone of the city's entertainment community. While visitors may see a show once during their vacation, local residents have the potential to become long-term supporters, attending multiple events throughout the year and spreading the word throughout the community. By offering local discounts, special promotions, and consistently presenting quality entertainment, venues build a loyal following that helps keep seats filled year-round.

{My Take}

In a city overflowing with world-class entertainment choices, being good simply isn't enough. To truly stand out in Las Vegas, a venue must deliver excitement, value, personality, exceptional customer service, and an atmosphere that makes every guest feel like they're part of something special. The shows that thrive in this town aren't just performances. They're events. They're experiences. They're memories in the making. And in a city where every marquee is fighting for attention, those are the moments that keep tourists booking tickets and Vegas locals coming back for more! 🎸🎤🔥

With all of that said, one show that truly stands out in Las Vegas is the Ikons of Rock at the STRAT. Delivering powerhouse performances, nonstop energy, and the kind of excitement that keeps audiences talking long after the final curtain call, this is a show that's earned its place among the city's must-see attractions. Check out their social media, and you'll quickly see what all the buzz is about. Better yet, grab a ticket and experience it for yourself. Hairball Online

Hot Ticket Alert🤘🔥

Saturday Night, October 3rd, 2026

Tonight, the stage at the Access Showroom inside the Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa becomes ground zero for a full-scale arena-rock invasion as Hairball storms North Las Vegas with its Balls to the Wall Tour.

The lights go down at 8:00 PM, and what follows is a thunderous salute to the titans of rock, from KISS and Van Halen to Queen, Journey, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and more. Expect more than two hours of larger-than-life anthems, outrageous costumes, smoking amplifiers, blazing lights, fire, and enough pyrotechnic mayhem to make you swear you've been dropped into the front row of a sold-out arena in rock's glory days. The action takes place at the Aliante Casino Hotel Showroom - 7300 Aliante Parkway, North Las Vegas, NV 89084.

Hairball has built its reputation coast to coast by doing more than playing the songs. They recreate the look, sound, attitude, and spectacle of arena rock's most legendary bands with uncanny precision and relentless energy. This is not a tribute show. It's a rock and roll time machine fueled by power chords, stage personas, and enough adrenaline to keep fists in the air from the opening riff to the final encore.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and the Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa box office. Fans looking to secure their spot for this high-voltage celebration of classic rock can also purchase tickets through the venue's official entertainment page and authorized ticketing partners.

One thing is certain: when Hairball rolls into town, they're not bringing a concert. They're bringing a full-blown arena rock spectacle loaded with enough volume, energy, and nostalgia to remind everyone why rock and roll was never meant to be played quietly.

Grab your tickets, and head to the Aliante Casino Hotel Showroom tonight for this Killer Show that will Rock n' Roll your soul for a very long time!

My Shout-Out To Rahway's Wrecking Machine: Locked Loaded And Ready To Bring Total Chaos To The Las Vegas Dive Bar On November 13!

First off, I owe a massive debt of gratitude to my rock brothers in the Rahway Band family — the whole wrecking crew — for the killer words and the early‑morning shout‑out about my blog!
When Rahway fires off a nod, it’s not just a mention… It’s a nuclear explosion. Their support hits like a power chord to the chest, and getting love from a band that lives and breathes pure hard‑rock voltage means everything to me! Thank You Much!

My history with the band.

I first witnessed Rahway’s full‑scale, weapons‑grade badassery in May of 2024 inside Count’s Vamp’d Las Vegas, and brother, that night didn’t just rock… it blew out the power in half of Las Vegas!
Count's Vamp’d wasn’t just a rock venue; it was a pressure cooker seconds from blowing its lid!

Rahway rolled in alongside The Garden Of Eden, and The Bullet Boys band; the whole place lit up like a neon‑soaked battlefield. Three bands. One stage, with zero survivors!

Rahway didn’t “take” the stage — they stormed it like a chrome‑armored shock unit. Their guitars came in swinging with drop‑tuned, asphalt‑grinding riffs that felt like a demolition crew tearing through the Strip at 3 AM. Distortion didn’t just bloom; it erupted in radioactive colors, splashing the room in molten reds, electric blues, and toxic greens. The drums hit with sledgehammer brutality; each strike a seismic event that rattled every soul in the building. And the vocals? A feral, flame‑tipped roar that sliced through the mix like a chainsaw dipped in jet fuel.

Garden Of Eden brought the fire. Bullet Boys brought the legacy. And Rahway brought the massive shockwave that night! The kind of nuclear blast that makes the lights flicker, the bartenders freeze, and the crowd surge like a tidal wave of fists, sweat, and adrenaline! It wasn’t a concert that night, it was a hard‑rock supernova ripping open the night sky and dumping pure chaos onto the Las Vegas floor!

Let’s just say it was a night carved into the concrete. Three killer bands. One legendary room. And Rahway proving they’re not just bad, they’re a full‑blown hard‑rock superweapon of mass destruction!

My Thoughts

And that right there is my way of firing off a full‑blast, chrome‑melting shout‑out to this amazing band! The high‑octane, stage‑wrecking, sonic war‑machine known across the rock world as the Rahway Band.

These guys aren’t just a band; they’re a technicolor hard‑rock juggernaut, a gasoline‑drenched riff factory, a bada$$ engine tuned for maximum destruction with zero apologies.

If you want to feel the fire, taste the grit, and ride the shockwave yourself, check the links below and dive headfirst into the chaos.

Rahway is the real deal, loud, lethal, and built to blow the doors off anything with a stage and a power outlet to hook up to!

See y'all at the Dive Bar on November 13th!

Where The Noise In Your Head Becomes Clarity: Where's Your Happy Place At?

It’s funny how the mind works—take mine, for example. Sunday evening, while I was covering Sally Steele’s Vegas Rocks! Magazine Music Awards red carpet, every time a rock star strutted past, one thought kept hitting me: Where’s their Happy Place? I’m betting it’s playing music—maybe right there onstage, inside the roar, plugged straight into the electricity of a crowd.

*To read about Sally Steele's Vegas Rocks! Magazine Music Awards, click < Here >

So I called my card‑playing buddy, who also happens to be one of the top shrinks in Las Vegas, did a little digging, and came up with this rock‑writer diagnosis.

A Happy Place isn’t some soft-focus fantasy—it’s that real-world pocket where your pulse drops, your shoulders loosen, and the static in your head finally shuts up. You don’t choose it; you feel it. Maybe it’s a bar booth with perfect low light, maybe it’s a stretch of desert where the wind wipes the slate clean. It’s built from memory, instinct, and the body’s quiet way of saying, “Yeah… stay here.”

What makes these places special is the charge they carry—like plugging your soul into a socket that actually fits. They’re wired with safety, nostalgia, and sensory details that hit like a favorite guitar riff. Neon buzzing overhead, the hush of trees, the hum of a casino floor at 2 AM—whatever the flavor, a Happy Place is a personal sanctuary, a backstage pass to your own peace.

I’m pretty sure every rock star on that red carpet was already standing dead‑center in theirs. Music is their oxygen, their fuel, their whole universe. Whether they’re humming a tune alone, jamming with friends, or standing under the blaze of a sold‑out crowd, the second they’re wrapped in the sound they love, they’re home.

My Happy Place? Same one I’ve lived in for 58 years: writing. Every time I sit down and start stringing words together, everything clicks into place and the world feels right again.

Where's your Happy Place at?

Queensrÿche Hit Las Vegas Saturday Night Inside The Cannery Casino Hotel With A Meteor Barrage Of Non-Stop Hits That Left The Club Glowing in the Afterburn!

 Saturday, September 5th, 2026

Queensryche

Cannery Casino Hotel "The Club"

Queensrÿche’s evolution from their early 1980s metal beginnings to the present day reads like a masterclass in artistic growth!
They rose quickly with a sound that blended heavy-metal precision, power‑metal fire, and the atmospheric ambition that would make them pioneers of progressive metal. Through the decades, the band kept pushing boundaries, refining their craft, and expanding their musical reach.
Then came June 2012 — a turning point that felt less like a shake‑up and more like a rebirth. Todd La Torre stepped in and immediately reignited the band’s signature energy, bringing a fresh spark that lit up both studio and stage.
Joined by founding forces Michael Wilton and Eddie Jackson, the return of guitarist Mike Stone, and the dynamic drumming of Casey Grillo,
Queensrÿche stands today as a revitalized, battle‑ready band, one that honors its legacy while hitting the modern era with renewed strength and unmistakable purpose!

Saturday night, Queensrÿche stormed The Club stage inside the Cannery Casino Hotel and took no hostages, firing off a set of over 90 minutes that hit the room like a precision‑guided missile!

Queensrÿche hit the Cannery like a detonation, blasting through swirling lights, rolling smoke, and arena‑grade sound. It was a totally awesome experience!

The band erupted like a sonic boom, sending metal shrapnel across the crowd as they launched straight into "Queen of the Reich". They kept the adrenaline spiking with "Operation Mindcrime", "Walk In The Shadows", "Speak", "I Don't Believe In Love", "Best I Can", and "Warning". Before Todd threw the switch and blasted the house lights back on, he leaned into this easy, laid‑back moment with the crowd, a full showroom of diehards packed tight into The Club. He wasn’t “addressing an audience”; he was talking with old friends, thanking everyone for showing up and hitting the night with the kind of energy only Las Vegas fans bring. It felt like one of those catch‑ups you fall into with people you haven’t seen in a while — warm, familiar, and real.

Those few minutes felt like the calm before the next detonation — a rare, quiet pocket in the night where the band caught their breath and the room held still. It wasn’t long, just enough time for Queensrÿche to reset, reload, and let the adrenaline settle for half a heartbeat.

And when they kicked back in, it was obvious that breather didn’t slow them down; it supercharged them. Their internal metal meter wasn’t just back in the green; it was pegged past 100%, redlining like a machine built to run hotter than physics should allow!

Queensrÿche came out swinging like a trained MMA fighter with a score to settle, blasting into the set with "Neue Regel", "Behind the Walls"," Take Hold of the Flame", and "Silent Lucidity". By then, The Club wasn’t just packed — it was alive, every voice locked in, every fan singing every word like they were right up there onstage with the band.

Then came the next barrage: "Jet City Woman", "Screaming in Digital", and "Anarchy X" — each one hitting with the force of a flaming meteor slamming straight into the Las Vegas Strip.

Another quick breather followed, just long enough for Todd to introduce the band and share a moment with the fans packed into the Club. Then Queensrÿche fired off the final salvo: "Revolution Calling", "Empire", and the night‑ending knockout punch, "Eyes of a Stranger".

As for my review grade?

Queensrÿche closed out the night like a band dead‑set on proving why they’re still one of the most lethal forces in metal. Every member was firing at peak power — razor‑sharp guitars slicing through the room, bass lines rumbling like underground Vegas thunder, drums hitting with the precision of a seasoned prizefighter, and Todd’s vocals soaring, snarling, and commanding every inch of The Club. The lighting rig blasted the stage in waves of neon fire, smoke curled around the band like a living creature, and the sound system punched with arena‑level force that felt impossible for a club room to contain.

It wasn’t just a concert — it was a full‑scale metal storm, a night where every song landed like a meteor strike and every moment reminded you why Queensrÿche still owns any stage they step onto.

I walked in as a classic rock writer… I walked out a full-blown metalhead.

Petty And The Heartshakers Homecoming: Vegas Gets Its Petty Fix Friday Night Inside The Orleans Hotel & Casino Showroom

 Friday night, August 28th

Petty And the Heartshakers Review

Orleans Hotel Showroom

Last night felt like a homecoming party with the amps turned all the way up, as the Orleans Hotel & Casino showroom threw open its doors and welcomed Dan Grennes and Petty and the Heartshakers back to Las Vegas. It’s been way to long, and the crowd knew it—fans were already stacking up at the entrance when the Orleans crew started waving everyone inside, like they couldn’t wait either.

The room was still filling, drinks clinking, people jockeying for their favorite sightline—then boom. Lights down. A ripple rolled through the crowd. It was Showtime!

Phones shot up, cell phone cameras everywhere, and the whole place snapped to life as Petty and the Heartshakers stormed the stage to a wall of applause that hit like an implosion on the Las Vegas Strip! The first chords cracked the air, the crowd roared back, and suddenly the Orleans showroom wasn’t a showroom anymore—it was a rock cathedral, and the Heartshakers were preaching the gospel of Tom Petty!

American Girl came screaming out of the gate as the first song in their 90‑minute set, and the crowd erupted as if they’d been waiting for years for that exact chord. Behind the band, the massive video screen kicked into overdrive, firing off a kaleidoscope of vintage Petty imagery—sun‑bleached Americana, retro tour shots, flashes of the past stitched right into the heartbeat of the music.

It wasn’t just nostalgia. It was a time‑warp highway, and Petty and the Heartshakers were driving it with an arena‑level horsepower machine!

From there, Petty and the Heartshakers tore straight into the prime‑time glory years of Tom Petty—the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s—the era when every album felt like a victory lap and every song was built to shake an arena. They fired off Refugee, Listen To Her Heart, Mary Jane’s Last Dance, I Won’t Back Down, Rebels, and You Got Lucky like they were dealing out a royal flush, each track hitting harder than the last.

By this point, the lifelong rockers in the crowd couldn’t stay in their seats anymore. They surged toward the stage, packing in tight, getting that up-close-and-personal view of the band doing what they do best. It felt less like a concert and more like a reunion of the faithful fans pressed right up to the edge of the lights, living inside every riff, every lyric, every heartbeat of the night!

The next run of songs hit like a steel‑toed kick right to the heart of this old rock writer—the Petty classics that always land hardest. You Don’t Know How It Feels rolled out first, that slow‑burn swagger lighting up the room. Then came Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around, delivered as a cool, smoky duet between Dan Grennes and Sara D’Arce, the kind of onstage chemistry that makes you forget you’re watching a tribute and not the real deal.

From there, the band cracked into Breakdown, slid smooth into Here Comes My Girl, and then launched a closing barrage of Petty heavy‑hitters: Freefallin’, Don’t Do Me Like That, Don’t Come Around Here No More, and Runnin’ Down a Dream—each one hitting like a neon‑lit memory straight out of rock‑and‑roll heaven.

And just when the crowd thought the night was over, the Heartshakers came back swinging with an encore that felt like a gift—Even the Losers, delivered with every ounce of grit and soul the band had left in the tank.

Ninety-plus minutes of Tom Petty glory, pumped through the Orleans Showroom by the number‑one Petty tribute on the planet—Petty and the Heartshakers. A night of pure rock communion, and Vegas soaked up every second of it!

Petty and the Heartshakers need no introduction. They’re the number‑one Tom Petty tribute on planet Earth, the kind of group with top-shelf musicians that doesn’t just play the songs—they channel the spirit! The swagger, the road‑dust soul of Tom Petty’s prime!

When they hit the stage, it’s not imitation. It’s ignition. It’s that familiar jolt that tells every rock‑and‑roll lifer in the room: buckle up, the night’s about to catch fire!

Petty and the Heartshakers roll with a lineup that reads like a who’s‑who of road‑tested rock warriors, starting with Dan Grennes, the band’s fire‑voiced frontman and rhythm‑guitar anchor, whose résumé includes American Idiot on Broadway alongside Billie Joe Armstrong and Melissa Etheridge—a guy who knows how to command a stage and make every lyric hit with arena‑level conviction. On lead guitar, Chris Cicchino brings the kind of high‑voltage precision you only get from sharing stages with Brian Johnson and Rob Halford, peeling off solos that feel like they were forged in the engine room of a tour bus barreling down a midnight highway. Holding down the low end for the night was “Special Guest” Jon Stenber, locking in the groove with that cool, unshakeable bassist presence that keeps the whole machine rumbling forward. Brenda Fitz handled keyboards with the finesse of someone who’s worked with Kip Winger, among many other rock stars in the biz, layering in those shimmering textures and vintage key swells that make Petty’s catalog feel cinematic. Behind the kit, Les Warner—yes, that Les Warner from The Cult—drove the night with thunderous, road‑hardened authority, every snare crack landing like a shot of adrenaline. And rounding out the lineup was Sara D’Arce, whose vocals—shaped by her work with La India—brought a soulful, electric edge to the night. She didn’t just sing; she charged the room, especially when she stepped into the spotlight for her duet with Dan Grennes on Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.

Together, as an awesome band, they're a rock‑and‑roll strike force, each member hauling decades of grit, pedigree, and stage fire straight into the Orleans showroom. This lineup doesn’t recreate Petty—they resurrect him, night after night, with the kind of voltage only seasoned road warriors like these awesome musicians (Rock Stars) can deliver.

{My Take}

Welcome back home, Petty and the Heartshakers. You blasted us straight into the past and proved—without a shred of doubt—why you’re the number‑one Tom Petty tribute band on planet Earth. Friday night you didn’t just play the songs… You nailed them, lit them up, and sent them roaring through the Orleans showroom like a jet engine at full throttle. So yeah—welcome back to Vegas. Just do us all a favor and don’t stay gone so damn long next time.

And if anyone out there still hasn’t figured it out, let me spell it out in full rock‑writer fashion:

My Review — this band is a must‑see, an A‑plus, a five‑stars‑and‑then‑some, catch‑them‑whenever‑you‑can blast of ridiculously talented musicians!

Yes, Petty and the Heartshakers RAWK. Really hard!!

The Ikons Of Rock Opened Their Extended Residency At The Strat LV Tuesday Night August 25th With Rock n' Roll Perfection!

Tuesday night, August 25th

Opening Night Show Review

A thunderbolt ripped through the Strat Las Vegas on opening night as the Ikons of Rock stormed into their new Las Vegas residency with the kind of explosive authority that only seasoned rock warriors can deliver. From the moment the lights dropped, Tuesday’s premiere crowd knew they were in for something big — and they scored huge!

For more than 70 relentless minutes, the Ikons fired off a barrage of classic rock anthems, each one delivered with the raw voltage and road‑tested swagger that defined the genre’s golden age. These weren’t just songs; they were monuments — riffs and choruses carved into the DNA of rock ’n’ roll itself. And the band of entertainers treated them with the respect of historians and the ferocity of headliners who still know how to make an entire room feel alive.

Every guitar stab, every drum hit, every vocal blast carried that unmistakable reminder of why these tracks became immortal in classic rock ’n’ roll history. It wasn’t nostalgia — it was resurrection. The Ikons didn’t just play the music; they reignited it, sending it roaring across the Strat like a jet engine tuned to the frequency of every rock fan’s heartbeat.

The Ikons of Rock tore through a powerhouse setlist that played like a guided tour through the Mount Rushmore of hard‑hitting, arena‑shaking rock. They hammered out fist‑raising selections from KISS (“Detroit Rock City,” “Shout It Out Loud”), Heart (“Alone,” “Even It Up”), Bon Jovi (“Livin’ on a Prayer,” “You Give Love a Bad Name”), Pat Benatar (“Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Heartbreaker”), Alice Cooper (“School’s Out,” “Under My Wheels”), and Mötley Crüe (“Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Looks That Kill”) — each song delivered with the kind of stage‑born authority that proves these songs were built for big rooms, loud amps, and fans who still believe in the gospel of guitar!

And just when the crowd thought the night had peaked, the band unleashed the Prince of Darkness himself — Ozzy Osbourne — to close out the show in true metal‑royalty fashion with “Crazy Train.” The finale hit like a blackout‑level surge, the kind of ending that sends fans out into the Vegas night buzzing, grinning, and already plotting their return to the Strat for another show!

What would the Ikons of Rock be without the world‑class performers and powerhouse musicians who drive the engine every night? This residency is built on the backs of its fearless vocalists — Darren Moore, Rachel Kline, Drew Hart, and Christelle Dussault — each bringing their own fire, range, and personality to the stage. Holding down the low end with authority is Andy Gerold on bass, locking in tight with Nannette Fortier on drums, whose thunderous precision keeps the whole show roaring forward. And slicing through the mix with arena‑sized riffs is guitarist Kurt “KK” Krezanski, delivering the kind of fretwork that gives the Ikons their unmistakable rock‑and‑roll bite.

Together, this cast doesn’t just perform the music — they embody it, fueling the Ikons of Rock with the grit, talent, and attitude that made their opening‑night residency debut hit like a live‑wire jolt!

From the first note to the last, they proved that great rock ’n’ roll doesn’t just happen — it erupts when great musicians step up and bring it to life!

The Ikons of Rock proved why their opening‑night residency is already muscling its way into the Best of Las Vegas nominations for Tribute & Production Show, 2026. The lighting, sound, and stage setup didn’t just impress — they came at the crowd like a neon‑lit punch, blasting the Strat with a full‑throttle assault of color and volume. Every vocalist and every band member showed up locked and loaded, and truly dangerous, delivering top‑shelf talent with the kind of grit that says they didn’t come here to play it safe. This is the kind of show that grabs you and growls, “Vegas, we own this room now!”

I'd say that the Ikons Of Rock will be a fixture at the Strat Las Vegas for a long, long time!

Load In Sound Right 90 Minutes of Sammy: Aliante Hotel Welcomed Three Lock Box Home With Style Saturday Night August 15th!

When word first leaked that Three Lock Box was rolling into the Aliante Hotel Casino showroom on August 15th, that date didn’t just catch my attention — it slammed itself onto my music and entertainment calendar like a power chord hitting the mix. This was one of those “drop everything, clear the night, charge the phone, we’re going” moments that every Vegas rock fan knows by heart!

I wanted to crank the volume as high as it would go and let Las Vegas — and anyone else within earshot — know that Three Lock Box, the best and most recognizable tribute to Sammy Hagar on the planet, was officially heading back home. Over a year since playing Las Vegas! When a band like that points their compass toward the neon, you don’t whisper it… You broadcast it like a stadium‑sized announcement!

I figured the only way to do this right was to go full‑throttle — write a stack of promos, then cover their homecoming from the first cable hitting the stage to the last chord ringing out. Load‑in, sound check, backstage buzz, the whole adrenaline‑soaked climb to showtime. Beginning to end, no shortcuts, no half‑measures — just the complete Three Lock Box return to Vegas in all its Red Rocker glory!

Pictured below are a few shots I grabbed during load‑in and sound check, catching Three Lock Box in that raw, behind‑the‑curtain zone where the real magic starts to spark.

Saturday night didn’t just start at 3pm — it rolled in like a backstage thunderstorm. The band hit the lot with cases, cables, and attitude, unloading gear like a small army preparing for battle. Guitars came out of their coffins, amps stacked up like concrete blocks, and drum kits exploded into place piece by piece.

Onstage, it was all motion — tuning strings, warming up voices, dialing in tones, checking lights, tightening bolts, and making sure every sight and sound screamed rock‑star ready.

And once the machines were humming and the stage was locked in? It was finally time to grab some food, kick back, and breathe before their big homecoming throwdown at 8pm!

When the lights dropped and the crowd leaned in, it was officially showtime — that electric moment when the stage becomes a living, breathing beast. And before the first chord hit the air, the lineup stepped into the glow like a crew built for a Saturday‑night takeover.

{Spotlighting The Band}

Jay Cee — Lead Vocals & Guitar

Jay Cee doesn’t just front the band — he drives it. He’s the spark plug, the Firestarter, the guy whose voice cuts through the room like a neon blade. His guitar work adds the grit, but it’s the swagger in his delivery that makes the crowd lean forward. He’s the storyteller, the showman, the one who sets the tone for the night.

Steve Heath — Lead Guitar

Steve is the band’s sonic sniper. Every riff is sharp; every solo is a controlled explosion. He’s got that veteran Vegas precision — the kind that comes from years of stages, sweat, and late‑night sets. When he steps forward for a lead break, the whole room shifts into “watch this” mode.

Merry Adin — Bass

Merry is the anchor — the pulse — the low‑end architect who keeps the whole machine glued together. Her bass lines don’t just support the songs; they drive them. She brings groove, attitude, and that cool, unshakeable stage presence that every great rock band needs.

Brenda Fitz — Keys

Brenda isn’t just part of the band — she’s the secret weapon hiding in plain sight. Her keyboard work brings the shimmer, the atmosphere, and that big, cinematic lift that turns a rock song into a full‑blown moment.

Whether she’s laying down warm, glowing pads, tearing through soulful keyboard runs, or dropping those classic rock textures that make a song feel larger than life, Brenda is the color in the band’s palette. This musician makes everything sound bigger, brighter, and bolder.

Danny Robert — Drums

Danny is the heartbeat — the engine — the guy who makes the stage shake. His drumming is tight, loud, and locked‑in, the kind of playing that keeps the band flying but never out of control. Every fill hit like a punch, every groove lands like a statement. He’s the backbone of the night.

Miss Sherri Klein — Dancer & Stage Performer

Sherri brings the movement, the flash, the Vegas heat. She’s the visual spark that turns a rock show into a full‑blown experience. Her presence adds energy, attitude, and that unmistakable showbiz flair — the kind that makes the crowd feel like they’re part of something bigger than just a concert.

Together? They’re a Vegas‑born rock machine.

A lineup built for big stages, loud nights, and homecoming crowds ready to erupt!

They didn’t just erupt — they exploded onstage! The moment the band hit the stage, the night blew wide open with a blast of Sammy‑powered adrenaline. They launched straight into a firestorm of classics, kicking things off with “Why Can’t This Be Love”, then driving head‑first into “Top of the World” and “Best of Both Worlds.”

From there, the set turned into a full‑tilt rock barrage — a molten mix of “Right Now–Heavy Metal,” “Three Lock Box,” “Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy,” “When It’s Love,” and “Finish What Ya Started.”

Then came the moment that hit deeper than the bass: a heartfelt dedication of “Eagles Fly” to our United States Veterans, a salute that lifted the entire room.

And when it was time to shut the place down, they slammed the door with a triple‑threat finale — “Rock Candy,” “I Can’t Drive 55,” and “There’s Only One Way to Rock.”

Ninety minutes. Non‑stop. Wall‑to‑wall Sammy Hagar classics delivered with the force of a Vegas explosion.

{My Take}

After ninety minutes of pure Sammy Hagar fire, the band stepped offstage and walked straight out to the casino, to the front of the showroom, where fans were waiting with open arms. They stayed, they talked, they posed for pictures — turning the end of the night into a personal moment shared with the people who made it all possible. It felt like the perfect full‑circle finish to their homecoming: a night of music, memories, and a band giving back to the crowd that gives them their fire!

Huge thanks to Three Lock Box and the entire crew at the Aliante Hotel Casino for throwing down a homecoming night that felt like a neon‑lit celebration of everything we love about live rock in Las Vegas. And a special thanks to Patrick “Crash” Smith for keeping the whole operation running smoothly and steady — the behind‑the‑scenes force that keeps Three Lock Box firing on all cylinders.

What a way to bring the family back together!

Let’s fire this up again — real soon!

Arizona Charlie's Decatur Welcomes Shooting Star To Las Vegas Last Night With A Three Hour Shot Heard Around The World!

Saturday night wasn’t planned — it was floating in the neon breeze — until Carmen Shortino dropped a message that hit like a power chord: her husband, Paul Shortino, was gearing up to blow the roof off one of my favorite Vegas hideouts, Arizona Charlie's. That was it. Decision made. Stamp it. Rock‑and‑roll approved!

"Shooting Star" At Arizona Charlie's

"Shooting Star"

But then the brain kicked in: Wait… with who? What band? What lineup is Paul unleashing tonight? So, I jump on Facebook, and boom — both Arizona Charlie’s locations (Decatur and Boulder Highway) were hyping country‑themed headliners!

And I’m sitting there thinking: Paul Shortino — the leather‑clad, arena‑tested, big‑voiced rock BaDD‑A$$ — doing COUNTRY? Now that sounded like the kind of wild Vegas curveball I live for. If Paul Shortino’s stepping into a country vibe, you know he’s about to twist it, torch it, and turn it into something unforgettable!

With that second message from Paul’s wife, it was like someone slammed a boot down on the big Green GO button — I (and my wife) blasted out the door and tore toward Arizona Charlie’s on North Decatur, one of my all‑time favorite Vegas battlegrounds where the local music scene doesn’t just hit play… it explodes!

When we rolled into the casino and pushed through the doors of the club, bam — instant shockwave. There stood Paul, not with some country outfit, but flanked by two full‑throttle rock assassins: my longtime brothers‑in‑noise, guitar destroyer Steve Burchell and drum detonator Mark Saul.

Long story short — forget the cowboy hats and country twang. What we were looking at was a brand‑new rock'n monster, a blues‑drenched, classic‑rock killer band, forged straight out of Paul Shortino’s Classic rock volcanic mind!

"Shooting Star" has officially crash‑landed onto the Vegas music scene. And trust me… this band isn’t arriving quietly. Vegas better brace itself for future shock!

The lights hit, and Shooting Star hit the stage, officially on the local Las Vegas music scene grid!

Opening with Honky Tonk Women and Rock Me Baby, two instant local‑scene wrecking balls that announced, loud and clear, this band wasn’t here to warm up the room — they were here to claim it!

From there, the night turned into a full‑throttle rock‑and‑roll rampage as Shooting Star tore through Rocky Mountain Way, Black Magic Woman, and a barrage of classics from the Eagles, Bad Company, Stevie Wonder, Tom Petty, and the immortal Smoke On The Water by Deep Purple. They kept the fire rolling with hits from the Doobie Brothers, Bryan Adams, Marvin Gaye, Journey, Quiet Riot, and even a blast of rock‑and‑roll royalty from Elvis.

Just before midnight, Paul sealed the night with a surprise solo encore — "What A Wonderful World" — the perfect victory lap after a night that hit like a freight train of blues, soul, and classic‑rock thunder!

Yes, "Shooting Star" has officially arrived!

We, the fans, need more Shooting Star in our lives — more of that volcanic Shortino magic, more of that Burchell‑and‑Saul thunder, more of that soul‑shaking rock‑and‑roll that hits you right in the chest and leaves you grinning all the way home!

Rock Gods Reborn: The Ikons of Rock Take Command Of The Strat Hotel Showroom August 25th!

August is heating up in Las Vegas, and definitely on the Strip!

The Night the Strip Surrendered:

Inside the Unprecedented Residency That Hijacked Las Vegas!

Las Vegas has seen its share of spectacle — neon kingdoms rising overnight, headliners blasting through billion‑watt sound systems, and residencies that turn casinos into temples of nostalgia. But nothing — nothing — can prepare the Strip for the shockwave that will hit on August 25th, when a battalion of rock legends decides to plant their flag and launch an unprecedented residency that feels less like a concert series and more like a hostile takeover by the gods of amplified chaos!

This isn’t a lineup. It’s a supernova wearing leather, eyeliner, and a grin sharp enough to cut through the desert heat. Every night, the stage becomes a battlefield where the spirits of Cher, Joan Jett, Alice Cooper, Tom Petty, Blondie, Rob Zombie, Heart, Pat Benatar, Ozzy, David Lee Roth, and other stars of rock collide in a neon‑lit thunderstorm of attitude and anthems. It’s the kind of residency that doesn’t just shake the Strip — it rearranges the skyline!

Imagine a show with this lineup of super-talented see-alike, sound-alike, tribute artists, world-class entertainers on one stage together!

The curtain doesn’t rise so much as explode. Just imagine the spirit of Cher strutting out as a glam‑armored general commanding her troops with diamond‑drenched authority. Her voice slices through the room like a laser beam, turning the Strat showroom into her own personal empire.

Joan Jett stomps in, guitar slung low, riffs sharp enough to make the casino lights flicker in fear. She doesn’t ask for permission — she takes it!

Alice Cooper drags his twisted carnival of nightmares across the stage. Every show becomes a theatrical fever dream; a beautiful collision of horror and rock that makes the crowd scream for more.

The energy shifts when Tom Petty rolls in, cool and steady, grounding the chaos with songs that feel like they’ve lived in your bones since childhood. It’s the calm in the storm — but only for a moment.

Because Blondie arrives next, shimmering like chrome under the Vegas glow, delivering new‑wave swagger that electrifies the room. And then Rob Zombie detonates industrial shockwaves that make the floorboards tremble, turning the residency into a monster‑movie rock opera.

Just when the crowd thinks they’ve survived the blast, Heart unleashes vocals that hit like lightning bolts, shaking the rafters. Pat Benatar fires off high‑voltage screams that scorch the edges of the night. Ozzy lurches into the spotlight like a wild wizard of the apocalypse, summoning every demon of rock history with a grin that says he’s still the Prince of Darkness.

And then — because Vegas loves chaos — David Lee Roth swings in from somewhere above the stage, grinning like he owns the night and probably does. He doesn’t just perform. He ignites the room!

This is what you get, or a story much like this, when you take in the Ikons Of Rock!

{My Take}

What this residency means for Las Vegas is a cultural earthquake — the kind of nightly shockwave only world‑class see‑alike, sound‑alike music artists can unleash. It isn’t just entertainment; it’s a pilgrimage for anyone who ever blasted an anthem through a car stereo with the windows down. The Strat Showroom morphs into a permanent rock carnival, a living museum of amplified legends where elite tribute performers prowl the stage like they own the neon kingdom, channeling the ghosts and gods of rock with uncanny precision. Fans don’t wait for tours anymore — the Ikons come to them, night after night, turning the Strat showroom into a global magnet for travelers chasing the glow of a rumor‑turned‑supernova. With every show, the performers — and the Strat — carve their names deeper into Vegas mythology. This residency doesn’t just entertain; it rewrites the rules of what Vegas can be! It’s a long‑term occupation by leather‑clad glam warriors, a takeover so loud, so reckless, so gloriously alive that the entire Strip feels like it’s vibrating under your feet!

The Ikons of Rock begins its residency at The STRAT Hotel on August 25th, showtime 7 PM, Tuesday through Sunday — dark on Mondays. Cast members may vary. Tickets available at: https://gotickets.com/ikons-of-rock

The Dynamic Duo Of Acoustic Music: Last Night With Paul Shortino & Mitch Perry Inside Treasure Island Breeze Bar

Friday nights in Las Vegas are all about musicians who own the room, and that’s exactly what the "Dynamic Duo of Acoustic Music" Paul Shortino and Mitch Perry did last night the moment they stepped onstage.

Click On The Pictures To Enlarge The Photos

Paul Shortino doesn’t just sing — he commands the stage like a general leading a rock‑and‑roll battalion. That voice of his is pure Vegas grit: warm, smoky, and built from a lifetime of rock stages, metal anthems, world tours, and late‑night gigs where only the toughest musicians survive. When Shortino leans into a lyric, it’s not just sound — it’s history. You hear the miles he’s logged from Hollywood, all around the world, to the neon glow of Las Vegas, every note carrying the weight of decades spent living inside the music. He doesn’t perform songs; he performs stories, and every one of them hits with the force of someone who’s been there, done it, and still loves every second on that stage.

Mitch Perry is the kind of musician who makes an entire room pause without ever asking for attention — you’re mid‑sip, mid‑conversation, mid‑Vegas‑moment, and suddenly locked in on his hands because the way he plays is its own kind of hypnosis. His guitar work is fluid and cinematic, almost liquid in the air, those soft drifting lines gliding through the Breeze Bar with effortless grace. Then he moves to the keys and the whole room shifts, laying down lush, velvet layers that wrap around the crowd and turn the space into its own little universe where time slows down, and the music becomes the atmosphere. Mitch Perry doesn’t play at you; he plays around you, building a warm, immersive, impossibly smooth sonic environment you can settle into, relax inside, and just let the night happen — the unmistakable vibe of a master at work.

Together, they’re not just a duo — they’re two rock star legends shaping the night with precision, soul, and that easy confidence you only get from a lifetime onstage. Last night, their slow‑and‑easy sets weren’t mellow by accident; they were crafted, intentional, and perfect for a Strip Friday night, where the neon hum outside Treasure Island meets the warm glow of the Breeze Bar inside!

Last night played out like a famous Las Vegas buffet of classic rock greatness, with Paul Shortino and Mitch Perry serving up course after course of the richest cuisine! They rolled through Bad Company, The Bee Gees, The Temptations, sliding into Blood, Sweat & Tears' “God Bless the Child” and Rod Stewart’s “Forever Young.” Then came the soul‑soaked Etta James, the arena‑heart Journey, a taste of Zeppelin, Marvin Gaye, Grace Slick, and of course a little acoustic nod to Quiet Riot — Paul Shortino’s old stomping grounds. Three straight hours of acoustic classics delivered the way only the Dynamic Duo of Paul Shortino and Mitch Perry can perform them! They wrapped it all with their signature closer, “Wonderful World,” leaving the Breeze Bar glowing and everyone inside, and out on the adjoining casino floor, feeling like they’d just witnessed something really special. And they did! What a show!

They have my vote for Best Of Las Vegas!

Paul & Mitch are rolling right back into Treasure Island’s Breeze Bar tonight, keeping that acoustic magic flowing for another Vegas night! They’ll return later this month on the 21st and 22nd, then hit the Breeze Bar again on September 11th — a special 9‑11 show they’re already gearing up for — followed by another night on September 12th. Mark those dates on your music calendar and get ready to ride the groove with Paul Shortino and Mitch Perry.

See you there!

Right Time Right Place And Work Your Butt Off: The Road To Discovery In The Music Industry

Classic rock and country don’t just lead the tribute & cover‑band world — they rule it like outlaw kings. The crowds crave it, Vegas management eats it up, and every weekend this town turns into a neon‑lit proving ground for musicians who are one lucky break away from the big stage. These players aren’t hobbyists; they’re what I call “Right Time, Right Place” musicians — the kind of artists who, when the right set of eyes and ears lock onto them, they disappear overnight and reappear on a tour bus headed straight for rock stardom! After conversations with some movers & shakers in the music industry, and a few heavy-duty rockers in the biz. Here is what they said.

Vegas doesn’t hand out fame — it tests you, breaks you in, and then dares you to rise above the neon noise. The musicians who make the leap from local legend to rising star are the ones who treat every stage like a launchpad and every crowd like a scouting session. This city is a pressure cooker for talent, and the decision‑makers — the producers, bookers, A&R hunters, festival curators — are always scanning for the next spark loud enough to shake the industry. The fast track isn’t about luck alone; it’s about showing up everywhere, sounding unmistakably like yourself, keeping your digital footprint razor‑sharp, and flooding the world with your music until the right ears finally lock in. Vegas rewards the bold, the relentless, and the artists who play like the spotlight is already theirs!

Local musicians who want to get seen by the power players of the music industry have to attack the Vegas grind like it’s a nightly audition for the rest of their lives. That means playing relentlessly — every bar, lounge, festival, jam night, anywhere a stage and a power outlet exist — because the more you show up, the more chances you create for the right set of eyes to land on you. It means carving out a signature sound that punches through the noise and makes people remember you after one song, not ten. It means keeping your social media sharp and professional, dropping high‑quality recordings that prove you’re the real deal, and getting your music on Spotify and every major platform so industry scouts can find you even when they’re not in the room. It means networking with intent, showing up at showcases and songwriter nights where gatekeepers actually gather, collaborating with other artists to expand your reach, and building a loyal local following that packs rooms and forces people to pay attention. In Vegas, the musicians who rise are the ones who stay loud, stay visible, and stay ready — because the moment opportunity walks through the door, you don’t get a second chance to hit that first note.

{My Take}

At the end of the day, breaking out of the local circuit isn’t magic — it’s momentum. The musicians who rise are the ones who grind harder, play louder, stay visible, and treat every night like the universe might be watching. Rock stardom has always been a cocktail of sweat, timing, and a little cosmic luck — but the legends remind us that luck only shows up for the ones who never stop swinging. As Tom Petty said, “You have to work hard. You have to give it everything.” And Billy Idol nailed it even cleaner: “Luck comes from working your ass off.” Keep pushing, keep playing, keep showing up — because in Vegas, the break comes fast, and the ones who earn it are the ones who never stop chasing the spark.

The Psychology Behind the Performance: As A Rock Writer How I Look At The Show!

My friends tell me that I look at life (And music) a little differently than others do.

This might just be why!

In my early years, I spent more time studying psychology than English or writing, and it’s paid off every night I’m in a room full of musicians. I don’t just listen to a performance — I read it. I watch who steps forward, who hangs back, who commands the room, and who disappears into the shadows. The music industry is a living map of personality types. The Type A firestarters are easy to spot; they take the lead onstage, run the show offstage, and treat every fan interaction like part of the mission. The Type B cool‑rollers drift through the scene with a relaxed grin, keeping the vibe loose and the jams flowing. The Type C quiet operators stay focused, organized, and emotionally tucked in — the ones who make sure the gear works, the harmonies lock, and the chaos stays controlled. And then there are the Type D pressure‑carriers who feel every high and low like a shockwave, often working twice as hard because they care twice as much.

After decades of watching bands from dive bars to big stages, I’ve learned this: the music isn’t just in the notes — it’s in the personalities. Who leads, who follows, who connects, who hides, who mingles with fans, who vanishes backstage. Psychology taught me that every show is more than a performance. It’s a human puzzle, and once you know how to read the pieces, you can see the whole industry for what it really is.

To all my musician peeps: Which type are you?

Ever think about how you look at life and things? It's a big part of who you are!
