The Gospel According To Rock ’n’ Roll: Today's Final Sunday Of The Month Revival At The Tuscany Suites Casino

 After cranking out four band reviews on Saturday, and a month of deadlines, my soul needed a full‑throttle spiritual rinse. So, I rolled into the Copa Room inside Tuscany Suites Casino for a little Rock ’n’ Roll Church. Lead Pastor Andrew Freeman was already posted up front, flanked by his powerhouse clergy. On lead guitar, Christian Brady. On bass, Barry Barnes. And on drums, Shon McKee.

About the lead pastor of music and his clergy staff.

Andrew Freeman — Lead Pastor

Andrew Freeman isn’t just the frontman — he’s the spiritual detonator. When he steps up to the mic, the room shifts. He’s got that preacher‑with‑a‑Marshall‑stack energy: part sermon, part scream therapy, part rock‑opera storyteller. He guides the congregation with vocal firepower, charisma, and the kind of stage command that makes you forget you’re inside a casino and not a packed arena.

Christian Brady — Lead Guitar

Christian Brady is the sonic architect — the guy who turns the “service” into a full‑body experience. His guitar work is sharp, melodic, and explosive, like he’s carving scripture into the air with every riff. He plays with that veteran confidence: no wasted motion, no filler, just pure tone and precision. When he leans into a solo, it feels like the roof lifts a little.

Barry Barnes — Bass

Barry Barnes is the heartbeat of the congregation — the low‑end minister keeping the whole room grounded. His bass lines don’t just support the music; they drive it. He’s got that steady, unshakeable presence onstage, the kind of player who locks in and makes everything feel bigger, tighter, and more alive. If the band is a machine, he’s the engine block.

Shon McKee — Drums

Shon McKee is the thunder behind the pulpit — the rhythmic pastor who keeps the service marching forward. His drumming is crisp, powerful, and full of personality. He hits with intention, never clutters, and always grooves. When he kicks into a fill, it’s like a lightning strike that snaps the whole room awake.

----------

The four stepped up and launched into a soul-searching service that hit harder than a revival tent struck by desert lightning!

Today’s two‑hour service rolled out more than fifteen chapters of amplified scripture. Highlights from today's service included: The congregation getting hit with Romero Delight, followed by the rebellious gospel of School’s Out. Then came a thunderous reading from the book of Heaven and Hell.

From the book of Krokus, they delivered Screaming in the Night, and from the book of Genesis, the congregation rose for Turn It On Again. A fiery passage from the book of STYX — Renegade — brought the room to its feet.

And to close out today’s service, they slammed down the final verse with the almighty Ace of Spades.

By the time the final chord of Ace of Spades rattled the Copa Room, I felt lighter, clearer, and a whole lot more human. Whatever grime had built up from a month of reviews got blasted clean by two hours of amplified salvation. That’s the magic of the Rock ’n’ Roll church — you walk in carrying the weight of the world, and you walk out ready to take on the Las Vegas Strip again!

And if you missed today’s service, don’t worry: the next revival hits every final Sunday of the month, when Pastor Freeman and his clergy return to deliver another electrified sermon!

Where The Riffs Do The Healing: Freeman Brady Barnes & McKee Bring The Revival To The Tuscany Suites Casino Copa Room LV

This past Sunday afternoon, the wife and I rolled into the Copa Room inside of the Tuscany Suites Casino looking for a jolt — the kind of sonic reset only a wall of amps and a band with something to say can deliver. We needed our spirits lifted, our minds realigned, and our bodies blasted clean by the high‑octane energy of the Rock n’ Roll Church.

Out front on the podium, Andrew Freeman wasn’t just addressing the crowd — he was igniting it, blasting the room with his gravel‑edged comedy and his full‑tilt rock‑star charisma that makes you sit up straighter and think, yeah, this guy came to Testify!

Christian Brady didn’t just play guitar — he unleashed it. Every riff came off his fretboard like a precision‑guided missile, fired with that seasoned‑pro confidence only Vegas Road dogs truly master. His tone had teeth, his solos had altitude, and every time he leaned into a bend, the whole room felt the floor move!

Barry Barnes held down the low end like a man guarding the gates of groove. His bass lines weren’t just supportive — they were commanding, pulsing through the Copa Room like a heartbeat with attitude. Every thump carried that deep, unshakeable conviction that only a lifer in the rock trenches can deliver!

Shon McKee didn’t simply keep time — he took it, reshaped it, and hurled it back at the crowd with explosive authority. His drumming was a full‑body experience: sharp, thunderous, and impossible to ignore. When he locked in, the whole room snapped to attention like he’d just flipped a switch on everyone’s body & soul!

The band ripped through spirit‑lifting anthems — Come Together, Hollywood Nights, blasts of KISS, Bob Seger, Ozzy — all wrapped in the band’s trademark humor, swagger, and camaraderie. It’s the kind of show that doesn’t just entertain you; it recalibrates your soul!

The Rock n’ Roll Church hits the Copa Room every final Sunday of the month, with the next service landing on July 26th. If you’re craving a cleansed body and soul, some spirited laughter, and a full‑throttle rock fix, this is the place to be!

The Gospel According To Classic Rock ’n’ Roll: Freeman Brady Barnes And McKee Bring Their Message To Their Fans At The Tuscany Suites Copa Room On Sunday

 Sunday, May 31st, 2026

With a rare Sunday off from writing, I finally made my way back to the Rock ’n’ Roll Church at the Copa Room inside the Tuscany Suites Casino. I hadn’t seen it live in months, only through the firestorm of clips on social media, but trust me, this show still hits like a freight train of pure rock energy.

Andrew Freeman was out front preaching the gospel on vocals, with Christian Brady shredding on lead guitar, Barry Barnes holding down the low end, and Shon McKee driving the whole thing from behind the kit. For two straight hours, they delivered soul‑shaking rock, stories, laughs, and those little bits of rock‑star wisdom that only come from musicians who’ve lived it.

And the setting? Only the Copa Room can pull off that church‑meets‑concert vibe. Spirits flowing, brunch just steps away, and a room full of people ready to lift their hands, their voices, and maybe their Bloody Marys.

It’s the perfect Sunday hang with great friends, killer classic rock, good laughs, good food, and a little adult refreshment to round it out. If you’re looking for a way to recharge your body and soul, get yourself to the next Rock ’n’ Roll Church. You’ll walk out feeling way better than when you walked in!

Count's 77 Band Members Appearing May 1st: Fremont Street Experience

The face of Counting Cars and the soul of Count’s 77, Danny "Count" Koker brings a voice built for arena rock and a stage presence that hits like a V8 engine at full roar. His passion for classic rock and vintage horsepower fuels every performance, turning each show into a high‑octane celebration of the music he loves.

A blues‑rock virtuoso with international cred, Stoney Curtis delivers the kind of soaring leads and gritty riffs that define the band’s signature sound. His guitar work is fiery, fluid, and unmistakably world‑class — the kind of playing that grabs a crowd by the collar and doesn’t let go!

With his roots‑driven tone, John Zito adds the raw, soulful edge that gives Count’s 77 its blues‑infused backbone. His chemistry with Stoney Curtis creates a dual‑guitar attack reminiscent of the great classic‑rock eras!

Holding down the low end with style and swagger, Barry Barnes delivers the deep, chest‑thumping bass lines that keep the crowd moving. His steady presence and tight musicianship make the band’s lineup look like a who's who in the US music scene!

Precision, power, and pure rock discipline on drums — Shon McKee is the engine that drives Count’s 77. His thunderous grooves and explosive fills give the band its unmistakable live punch, locking in the rhythm section with authority!

{My Take}

As the lights blaze across the Fremont Street Experience and the amps crank to full power on May 1, I guarantee that Count’s 77 will deliver the kind of unforgettable rock spectacle that only Las Vegas can host. With Danny “Count” Koker leading a lineup of world‑class musicians, their performance promises to be a night of soaring guitars, thunderous rhythm, and pure rock energy. Whether you’re a longtime fan (Like Me) or just discovering this amazing band for the first time, prepare to be pulled into a high‑octane musical experience that will echo long after their final notes fade!

Come May 1st, Count’s 77 won't just rock the Fremont Street stage — they'll blow the Viva Vision Canopy clear off of the Fremont Street Experience!

Andrew Freeman's Rock 'n’ Roll Church Lights Up The Composers Room: A Celebration Of Music That Renews The Soul

 After writing about professional sports every Sunday night for the last couple of months, I finally got the night off and headed to Church!

{Sunday night September 14th, 2025}

Last night, the Composers' Room was transformed into something more than just a venue. It became a sanctuary of sound, soul, and celebration when the Rock ’n’ Roll Church took the stage. It was a gathering of musical believers, where rock veterans and die-hard fans came together for an evening that felt as spiritual as it was electrifying!

The lineup alone read like a rock n' roll call of rock’s enduring legacy: Andrew Freeman (Last in Line, Lynch Mob), whose powerhouse vocals set the tone; Mitch Perry (Edgar Winter, MSG), delivering guitar work that was both fiery and melodic; Les Warner (The Cult), laying down thunderous grooves that reminded everyone why rhythm is the heartbeat of rock; and Barry Barnes (Count's 77, Stoney Curtis Band), whose presence added layers of depth and grit to the performance. Add in the soulful swagger of Paul Shortino (Quiet Riot, Rough Cutt) and the unshakable drive of drummer Shon McKee (Crashing Wayward, Stoney Curtis Band), and you had a lineup capable of shaking the rafters of any church, especially one that's built on rock ’n’ roll!

(Click On Picture To Enlarge)

Andrew Freeman’s vocals soared on tracks that demanded raw power, while Mitch Perry’s solos carved out moments that felt both spontaneous and divine. Paul Shortino, with his trademark grit, reminded the crowd that rock is as much about soul as it is about volume. Les Warner and Shon McKee drove the rhythm section like twin engines, propelling every song forward with precision and punch. Barry Barnes, meanwhile, tied it all together, grounding the performance with a steady hand that allowed the chaos to shine.

What a musical Church service!

 In a city where glitz, glamour, and spectacle are the norm, the Rock ’n’ Roll Church stands out because of its heart. Last night wasn’t about pyrotechnics or choreographed perfection; it was about raw connection. It was about musicians with decades of history behind them still playing like it was their first gig, and fans responding with the same passion.

Las Vegas has always been a city of reinvention, and the Rock ’n’ Roll Church embodies that spirit. It’s not just a band or a night, it’s about a movement, a reminder that music can be sacred without ever losing its edge.

{My Take}

The Rock 'n' Roll Church wasn’t just an awesome concert last night; it was a living testament to Las Vegas’ enduring spirit of music, fellowship, and pure rock energy. With Andrew Freeman, Mitch Perry, Les Warner, Barry Barnes, Paul Shortino, and Shon McKee leading the church service, the night reminded everyone that rock and roll is more than sound; it’s a community!

FYI: The Rock' n' Roll Church residency has been extended through the end of the year!

It's time to get your spirit renewed!
