The Gospel According To Rock ’n’ Roll: Today's Final Sunday Of The Month Revival At The Tuscany Suites Casino

After cranking out four band reviews on Saturday, and a month of deadlines, my soul needed a full‑throttle spiritual rinse. So, I rolled into the Copa Room inside Tuscany Suites Casino for a little Rock ’n’ Roll Church. Lead Pastor Andrew Freeman was already posted up front, flanked by his powerhouse clergy. On lead guitar, Christian Brady. On bass, Barry Barnes. And on drums, Shon McKee.

About the lead pastor of music and his clergy staff.

Andrew Freeman — Lead Pastor

Andrew Freeman isn’t just the frontman — he’s the spiritual detonator. When he steps up to the mic, the room shifts. He’s got that preacher‑with‑a‑Marshall‑stack energy: part sermon, part scream therapy, part rock‑opera storyteller. He guides the congregation with vocal firepower, charisma, and the kind of stage command that makes you forget you’re inside a casino and not a packed arena.

Christian Brady — Lead Guitar

Christian Brady is the sonic architect — the guy who turns the “service” into a full‑body experience. His guitar work is sharp, melodic, and explosive, like he’s carving scripture into the air with every riff. He plays with that veteran confidence: no wasted motion, no filler, just pure tone and precision. When he leans into a solo, it feels like the roof lifts a little.

Barry Barnes — Bass

Barry Barnes is the heartbeat of the congregation — the low‑end minister keeping the whole room grounded. His bass lines don’t just support the music; they drive it. He’s got that steady, unshakeable presence onstage, the kind of player who locks in and makes everything feel bigger, tighter, and more alive. If the band is a machine, he’s the engine block.

Shon McKee — Drums

Shon McKee is the thunder behind the pulpit — the rhythmic pastor who keeps the service marching forward. His drumming is crisp, powerful, and full of personality. He hits with intention, never clutters, and always grooves. When he kicks into a fill, it’s like a lightning strike that snaps the whole room awake.

----------

The four stepped up and launched into a soul-searching service that hit harder than a revival tent struck by desert lightning!

Today’s two‑hour service rolled out more than fifteen chapters of amplified scripture. Highlights from today's service included: The congregation getting hit with Romero Delight, followed by the rebellious gospel of School’s Out. Then came a thunderous reading from the book of Heaven and Hell.

From the book of Krokus, they delivered Screaming in the Night, and from the book of Genesis, the congregation rose for Turn It On Again. A fiery passage from the book of STYX — Renegade — brought the room to its feet.

And to close out today’s service, they slammed down the final verse with the almighty Ace of Spades.

By the time the final chord of Ace of Spades rattled the Copa Room, I felt lighter, clearer, and a whole lot more human. Whatever grime had built up from a month of reviews got blasted clean by two hours of amplified salvation. That’s the magic of the Rock ’n’ Roll church — you walk in carrying the weight of the world, and you walk out ready to take on the Las Vegas Strip again!

And if you missed today’s service, don’t worry: the next revival hits every final Sunday of the month, when Pastor Freeman and his clergy return to deliver another electrified sermon!

Where The Riffs Do The Healing: Freeman Brady Barnes & McKee Bring The Revival To The Tuscany Suites Casino Copa Room LV

This past Sunday afternoon, the wife and I rolled into the Copa Room inside of the Tuscany Suites Casino looking for a jolt — the kind of sonic reset only a wall of amps and a band with something to say can deliver. We needed our spirits lifted, our minds realigned, and our bodies blasted clean by the high‑octane energy of the Rock n’ Roll Church.

Out front on the podium, Andrew Freeman wasn’t just addressing the crowd — he was igniting it, blasting the room with his gravel‑edged comedy and his full‑tilt rock‑star charisma that makes you sit up straighter and think, yeah, this guy came to Testify!

Christian Brady didn’t just play guitar — he unleashed it. Every riff came off his fretboard like a precision‑guided missile, fired with that seasoned‑pro confidence only Vegas Road dogs truly master. His tone had teeth, his solos had altitude, and every time he leaned into a bend, the whole room felt the floor move!

Barry Barnes held down the low end like a man guarding the gates of groove. His bass lines weren’t just supportive — they were commanding, pulsing through the Copa Room like a heartbeat with attitude. Every thump carried that deep, unshakeable conviction that only a lifer in the rock trenches can deliver!

Shon McKee didn’t simply keep time — he took it, reshaped it, and hurled it back at the crowd with explosive authority. His drumming was a full‑body experience: sharp, thunderous, and impossible to ignore. When he locked in, the whole room snapped to attention like he’d just flipped a switch on everyone’s body & soul!

The band ripped through spirit‑lifting anthems — Come Together, Hollywood Nights, blasts of KISS, Bob Seger, Ozzy — all wrapped in the band’s trademark humor, swagger, and camaraderie. It’s the kind of show that doesn’t just entertain you; it recalibrates your soul!

The Rock n’ Roll Church hits the Copa Room every final Sunday of the month, with the next service landing on July 26th. If you’re craving a cleansed body and soul, some spirited laughter, and a full‑throttle rock fix, this is the place to be!

Rob Hussey Leads A Full Scale Neon‑Fueled Rock Riot With Cyanide’s New Hit And Music Vid "Get Up And Dance"

It's good to be home! And I'm back just in time for a hot one!

Las Vegas just got slapped with a full‑throttle sonic uppercut, courtesy of Rob Hussey, Vegas rock machine who writes it, shreds it, produces it, films it, and performs it like he’s got nitro in his veins. His band Cyanide just dropped their newest burner, “Get Up and Dance,” and both the track and the video are already detonating across the scene like a stack of amps pushed past their redline!

The music video hit YouTube Thursday night at 9 PM Pacific, and the second it went live, it felt like someone flipped the switch on a Vegas power surge. I spun the track on Spotify, cranked up the volume, and watched the video twice back‑to‑back — this vid is straight up Vegas Hot, no filter, no brakes!

“Get Up and Dance” is a high‑octane hard‑rock rager, built on monster riffs, skyscraper‑sized hooks, and that classic arena‑rock DNA that makes you want to stomp, shout, and throw horns until sunrise. It’s the kind of track that doesn’t ask you to move — it orders you to.

Cyanide On Spotify

Get Up And Dance On Spotify

And the video?

It's a pure chaos nuclear cinema explosion!

Fire blasting, lights strobing, bodies flying, the whole thing dripping with that wild‑child, Sin City swagger. It’s a love letter to the golden age of hard rock, but shot through a modern, adrenaline‑soaked lens only Rob Hussey could pull off. This is rock ’n’ roll with gasoline poured on top!

"Official Music Video"

Cyanide didn’t just release a song — they launched a party grenade into the Vegas music scene. And judging by the early buzz, the blast radius is global!

To Rob and the boys: thanks for keeping the Vegas rock heartbeat pounding loud enough for the world to feel it.

Cyanide just lit the fuse! “Get Up and Dance” proves real rock still hits like a desert thunderbolt. Turn it up, watch the vid, feel the burn, and ride the chaos that Rob Hussey & Cyanide bring to the local LV Music Scene!

Crash Midnight Ignites The Composers Room Last Night With A Flawless 90‑Minute Rock N' Roll Firestorm With Their New Explosive Music!

 Saturday Night, April 4th, 2026

The Composers Room Las Vegas

Las Vegas has seen its share of explosive nights in the music business, but every once in a while, a band walks in and reminds the city what real rock ’n’ roll looks and feels like. On this sold‑out night inside The Composers Room, Crash Midnight didn’t just perform — they detonated!

For 90 relentless minutes, the band delivered a high‑octane, crowd‑shaking performance that proved why they’re one of the most dangerous and exciting rock acts out of the Las Vegas music scene.

Crash Midnight

This wasn’t nostalgia. This wasn’t a tribute. This was five world‑class musicians, locked in like a single organism, unleashing two full albums of brand‑new material with the confidence of a band that knows exactly who they are and exactly where they’re going!

The Band: Five Musicians, One Machine!

I call the band's lineup a masterclass in controlled chaos!

  • Front, Shaun Soho (Pictured Above) owned the room from the second he stepped onstage. He’s got that rare combination of grit, charisma, and danger — the kind of frontman who doesn’t just sing the songs, he lives them. His vocals cut through the room like a switchblade, and his swagger kept the crowd hanging on every move. Soho doesn’t perform at you — he pulls you into the world of Crash Midnight and dares you to try and get out.

  • Drake (bass) (Pictured Above) — thunderous, melodic, and driving the engine room with absolute authority.

  • Donovan Tryon (guitar) (Pictured Above) — razor‑sharp riffs and explosive leads.

  • Lahi Cassiano (guitar) (Pictured Above) — tone for days, groove for miles, and a perfect counterweight to Donovan.

  • Mitchell Terranova (drums) (Pictured Above) —He's a human sledgehammer, playing with precision, power, and zero hesitation.

Together, they weren’t just tight — they were surgically locked‑in, the kind of chemistry you only get from a band that’s hungry, fearless, and firing on all cylinders.

A Setlist That Hit Like a Freight Train

Crash Midnight didn’t waste a second. They came out swinging with “CHINATOWN,” “IMMIGRANT,” and “DYNA,” immediately setting the tone: loud, fast, and unapologetically raw.

The new material — marked with * — was the real revelation of the night.

KILLING TIME HARD LINE DOWN* CALIFORNIA'S BURNING* SOCIALITE* DIG IT ON THE HIGHWAY* CRAZY* FUCKIN' DISEASE* LIES*

…Their set list proved that Crash Midnight isn’t just adding to their catalog — they’re leveling up. These tracks hit with the confidence of future fan favorites, blending street‑level storytelling with arena‑sized hooks.

The band also tore through explosive covers like “HAIR OF THE DOG,” “FIRE WOMAN,” “ROADHOUSE,” and a blistering, full‑tilt “GIMME SHELTER” that had the entire room rock'n!

By the time they reached “SUNSET$,” the packed house was fully in the palm of their hand — loud and completely locked into the moment.

A Night That Felt Like a Turning Point

There are shows you enjoy, and then there are shows you remember. This show felt like both! — The kind of night fans will brag about being at when Crash Midnight explodes onto a bigger national stage.

The Composers Room was the perfect setting: intimate enough to feel the heat, big enough to let the sound breathe, and packed wall‑to‑wall with fans who knew they were witnessing something really special.

Crash Midnight didn’t just play a show. They announced a new era!

And if these two new albums of new material are any indication, that era is going to be loud, dangerous, and absolutely unforgettable!

{My Take}

When the final notes rang out, it was clear Crash Midnight had delivered a performance as flawless as it was ferocious — a masterclass in both sound and visual spectacle. Every member of the band operated at peak precision, each one elevating the others the way only true top‑shelf musicians can. Soho’s command of the room, Drake’s seismic bass lines, Donovan and Lahi’s twin‑guitar firestorm, and Mitchell’s explosive drumming fused into a single, unstoppable force. And when they closed the night with a blistering, full‑throttle run through of Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold,” the message was unmistakable. After tonight, Crash Midnight doesn’t just have momentum — they’ve got a stranglehold on the Las Vegas music scene!

From Five Bucks To Five Hundred Dollars: What It Means To See Your Favorite Band Way Back When And Today!

Concert Ticket Prices. Are they worth it today? $$$$

There’s a special kind of fan who carries a band with them across decades—the ones who were there in the 80s or 90s when tickets were cheap, the venues were small, and the band was still hungry. These fans didn’t just attend concerts; they witnessed the beginning of a story. And now, years later, they’re seeing that same band again—only this time the tickets cost hundreds of dollars, the production is massive, and the band is a global brand instead of a local secret.

So, which show meant more? The early, rough‑around‑the‑edges nights—or the modern, high‑production spectacle?

The truth is more complicated than nostalgia alone.

The Early Years: Sweat, Grit, and the Thrill of Discovery

Fans who caught their favorite bands in the 80s or 90s often describe those shows with a kind of reverence. Tickets were cheap—sometimes five or ten bucks. You didn’t need a payment plan or a presale code. You just showed up.

The venues were small enough that you could feel the bass in your chest and the sweat from the stage. The band was still proving themselves every night. They played like their future depended on it—because it did.

There was no elaborate lighting rig, no pyro, no synchronized video walls. Just raw sound, imperfect mixes, and a crowd that felt like a tribe. Fans weren’t just watching a show; they were part of the band’s climb.

For many, those early concerts weren’t just better—they were formative.

The Modern Era: Precision, Power, and Stadium‑Sized Spectacle

Fast‑forward to today, and the experience is completely different.

The band is older, wiser, and far more polished. The sound is cleaner. The production is enormous. Every note is supported by a team of engineers, lighting designers, and video directors. The show is a machine—tight, impressive, and built to deliver the same impact to 20,000 people at once.

But the price tag reflects that evolution. What once cost a few dollars now costs a few hundred. Fans who once saw the band in a club now see them from the upper deck of an arena.

And yet, there’s something undeniably powerful about witnessing a band you’ve loved for decades command a massive stage. It’s a reminder of how far they—and you—have come.

Which Show Was Better? Fans Give Two Very Different Answers

Ask long‑time fans which era they preferred, and you’ll hear two dominant themes:

1. “The early shows were magic.”

Fans often say the intimacy, the unpredictability, and the sense of discovery made those early concerts unforgettable. You weren’t just watching music—you were watching potential.

2. “The new shows are breathtaking.”

Others say the modern tours feel like a reward. The band survived. The fans survived. And now everyone gets to celebrate with a production that simply wasn’t possible decades ago.

Most fans don’t choose one over the other. They describe the two eras as different chapters of the same story—one defined by grit, the other by grandeur.

The Real Difference: What You Brought With You

The biggest change isn’t the ticket price or the production. It’s the fan.

Back then, you were younger, wilder, and maybe a little reckless. You didn’t care about parking fees or seat assignments. You just wanted to be close to the music.

Now, you bring decades of life with you—memories, losses, victories, and a deeper appreciation for the band’s longevity. When they play the old songs, you don’t just hear them. You feel the years attached to them.

That’s something no lighting rig can replicate.

{My Take}

The early shows were raw, intimate, and unforgettable. The modern shows are powerful, polished, and emotionally rich.

Which one was better? Most fans say the same thing: both mattered, but for different reasons.

One show introduced you to the band. The other reminded you of why you never let them go.

In the end, whether you cherished the raw electricity of those early club nights or the sweeping power of today’s arena‑sized productions, the real joy comes from realizing you’ve been on the ride the whole time. You’ve grown up with this band, watched them evolve, and carried their music through every chapter of your own life. The ticket prices may have changed, the stages may be bigger, and the sound may be cleaner, but the connection—that unmistakable spark that first pulled you in—still hits just as hard. And that’s what keeps fans coming back, decade after decade, ready to feel it all over again!

Ace Frehley: The Pulse Behind the Paint

Yesterday, the world lost Ace Frehley!

My pop art creation, along with what I said on Facebook this morning, pretty much says it all for me.

{My Facebook Post From this morning}

(We) Will Never Forget!
I followed these four amazing music artists, Rock Stars, throughout my media career. It's kind a' like we grew up together. These four amazing people are a big part of why I'm still covering music in my 70's. Yes, you'll always live inside of me 🙂 #Ace #Ozzy #Tom #Eddie #popart #caricature #painting

{More of my thoughts}

Ace Frehley, known as "The Spaceman," was more than just the original lead guitarist of KISS, he was a cosmic force who electrified rock music with his raw talent, rebellious spirit, and otherworldly persona. Fans connected deeply with his unfiltered authenticity, blistering solos, and the sense of mystery he brought to the stage.

As a founding member of one of rock’s most iconic bands, Ace Frehley helped shape the sound and spectacle of an era, inspiring generations of musicians and fans alike. His legacy is etched into the DNA of rock history, and his passing leaves a void that reverberates far beyond the music world!
