The Music He Left Behind: Honoring Joey Mazzone's Wish For His Music To Live On!

Many early mornings — four, sometimes five a.m. — I wake not to an alarm, but to the soft murmur of voices drifting through my head. What I write about today. This morning was different. I woke to a voice rising straight out of my heart. After reading the obituary for Joey Mazzone last night, I opened my eyes early this morning with a quiet certainty that I needed to speak — to write — about this remarkable friend, musician, and truly awesome man.

I remember that early day in August, just a month ago, when the weight of losing a friend settled over me — a friend I now wish I’d had the chance to be closer to. It was one of those still, fragile mornings when the world feels thinner, and the things you didn’t say echo louder than the ones you did.

So today, I say my peace through my writing.

I was blessed to have Joey in my life for only a short stretch of years, crossing paths in the world of music—in the rooms where he played what he loved and where I wrote about what I loved: music!

I remember Joey always inviting Dorrie and me to his upcoming gigs; We made as many as we could, and now I find myself wishing we would have made even more!

Many times, Joey and I would sit together at an empty table and talk about life and music. I remember him as a deeply friendly soul — soft‑spoken offstage, carrying himself with a gentle ease — but the moment he stepped under the lights, he sang loud and proud. I listened to his music not just for the melody, but for the words. So many of his songs were stories, pieces of his life woven into verses and choruses. Through our conversations, and even more through the lyrics he wrote, it was clear how much Joey loved music — how much he loved sharing it with the world.

He lived with a quiet pain most people never saw, me included, and his greatest relief came from creating the songs that carried him through. My own relief in losing my friend comes from knowing he’s in Heaven now — no pain, no weight — and still making his music.

One thing I do know is that Joey had one clear wish: for his music to live on. That was his heartbeat, his hope, the thing he wanted to leave behind for the world. So here is my part in helping that wish along. To all my readers of my blog, to my followers and subscribers, and to my friends on Facebook, I ask you to join me — hit the link below, listen, share, and keep his songs moving forward. Let’s help Joey Mazzone’s wish to come true. Let's keep his music alive!

Rest in peace, Joey.

Love you always, my brother in music.

Vegas Rock Confidential: From Bay Area Beginnings To The Heat Of L.A.To The Magnetic Pull of Las Vegas — Getting To Know Jamey Pacheco.

Vegas Rock Confidential: From Bay Area Beginnings To The Heat Of L.A.To The Magnetic Pull of Las Vegas — Getting to Know Jamey Pacheco.

Jamey Pacheco’s story kicks in when he was just fourteen years old. When he first sat down behind a drum kit, fired up by Kiss and Aerosmith — pure gasoline for a kid already wired for rhythm.

From there he charged straight into the Bay Area trenches, landing his first real gig with Candy, alongside Derek Davis and Robb Reid, the core that would eventually ignite Babylon A.D. He hammered stages that every West Coast rocker knows by heart—The Stone in San Francisco, Keystone Palo Alto, Keystone Berkeley, Niles Station—sweaty, loud rooms where reputations were earned one blistering set at a time. Pacheco didn’t just play the circuit; he helped build it, co‑founding The Persuaders, the band that evolved into Babylon A.D. and carried him into the national spotlight. By the time MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball came calling during the Arista Records era, he was already a seasoned street‑tough drummer with the chops, the attitude, and the history to back it up!

Jamey Pacheco slammed into the Babylon A.D. lineup right from the jump, holding down the drum throne from 1987 to 1993 as the band tore through the hard‑rock trenches. After that first blazing run, he stepped back from the road to earn his degree in Graphic Design between 1993 and 1999, sharpening a whole new creative skill set. Then the story kicked back into overdrive — Pacheco reunited with Babylon A.D. in 1999 and stayed behind the kit all the way through 2019, powering a twenty‑year second chapter that most bands only dream about. What a run!

Jamey Pacheco pushed into a new chapter in 2019, diving headfirst into tribute projects — most notably the high‑energy of Duran Duran Duran (D3). His tribute‑band era has taken him everywhere from Yoshi’s Oakland to Crystal Bay Casino in Lake Tahoe, the Firehouse Arts Center, and even the Rockstar Bar in Las Vegas, proving he can flip from hard‑rock grit to new‑wave precision without dropping a shred of swagger!

Today, after 40+ years in the business, Pacheco remains a touring drummer, recording artist, visual designer, and session player — still chasing the next loud night, still swinging sticks like they’re built for battle.

Jamey isn’t just keeping Duran D3 sharp for the road — he’s building new soundscapes with his musical partner in life, Ronnie Wagner, laying down fresh tracks together inside the D3 lineup. On top of that, Ronnie’s own project, Passion Nouveau, gives them another creative lane to explore, blending styles and ideas while Jamey shifts effortlessly between a hard‑rock punch and a new sleek & modern groove!

Together in life and locked in the same musical orbit, Jamey and Ronnie are a powerhouse duo with no ceiling in sight. Two seasoned artists pushing each other higher, chasing new sounds, new stages, and whatever wild horizon comes next — the musical sky’s wide open for them both!

Today's Vegas Rock Confidential: His Story Reads Like A Rock Documentary - Getting To Know Les Warner

Welcome to Vegas Rock Confidential, my series where I sit down with some of the most compelling rock‑star musicians from yesterday, today, and tomorrow!

In each conversation, I dive into their past, explore where they are now, and get a glimpse into what the future holds for these legends who continue to keep the beat alive in the neon glow of Las Vegas!

Today's Vegas Rock Confidential - Getting to know Les Warner, whose story reads like a rock documentary!

From London clubs to global tours, to The Cult’s explosive rise, to performances with Montrose and sessions with Peter Green. Today he’s settled in Las Vegas, where he remains one of the city’s busiest musicians, a studio warrior and live‑show sparkplug. I got to sit down with Les to talk about his past, what drives him today in the local Las Vegas Music Scene. And what the future may hold!

How did Les get introduced to the music world?

Growing up in London, the spark hit Les early thanks to the boys who lived upstairs—they were musicians, always rehearsing, always making noise, and that energy pulled Les straight toward the drums. His dad helped seal the deal every Sunday when he’d come home with a cardboard box filled with 45‑rpm records and candy. Between the upstairs jams and that weekly treasure chest of music, it didn’t take long before Les knew this wasn’t just a childhood fascination. Music was going to be his life!

The Early Years.

Back in the early ’70s, the London pub circuit was a nonstop parade of R&B and blues bands, all hammering out shuffles that could shake the floorboards loose. Les hooked up with Johnny Marrs and The Seven Sun, and those gigs were where his groove was born. Night after night of blues and shuffle playing hot-wired that feel into Les, which is still the foundation of how he plays today!

Under The Spotlights.

Les Warner didn’t join The Cult so much as he crashed into their world like a drum‑fueled lightning bolt. London clubs were his proving ground—sweaty rooms, loud amps, and nights where the only thing that mattered was whether the band could still stand after the encore! That raw, street‑hardened energy caught The Cult’s attention in the mid‑’80s, and suddenly Warner was behind the kit for a band about to explode into global fame!

On Electric, he didn’t just keep time—he defined it! His drumming was the steel spine of that music work: sharp, muscular, and unapologetically loud. Those thunderous grooves helped turn Electric into one of rock’s most iconic sonic pivots, and Warner’s fingerprints are all over its swagger!

Les Warner’s success isn’t some mystery; it’s the product of a relentless, full‑throttle drive to be the best musician in the room, every room, every night!

Les has carried that same rock‑and‑roll fire through every chapter of his career. Back in the mid‑’80s—around 1986—he flew into Dublin and dove straight into the studio with The Waterboys, hammering out those unmistakable drum tracks that only he could deliver. Decades later, those long‑lost tapes resurfaced, and the band used Warner’s original sessions in their recent Waterboys release, proving that his rhythm still hits just as hard today!

Back To My Story...

Les Warner's New Gig Home.

Eventually, Les traded London fog for Las Vegas neon, settling into a city that never sleeps and never stops making music. Las Vegas fit him perfectly! Endless stages, endless bands, endless chances to plug in and play. Today he’s busier than ever: studio work, laying drum tracks for artists across the map, and even throwing down bass when the moment calls for it. His professional recording studio in LV has become a go‑to spot for bands who want that unmistakable Les Warner punch!

And if you want to see the man in full rock‑and‑roll flight, you’re in luck!

Event Information & Tickets

Later this month on Friday, August 28th at 9:30pm, Les hits the Orleans Showroom, banging skins for Petty And The Heartshakers,

{My Take}

And through it all, Les Warner keeps doing what he’s always done—hit harder, play louder, and chase the next great moment. His story isn’t a nostalgia act; it’s a living, breathing rock‑and‑roll engine that refuses to idle. Whether he’s behind the kit, laying down bass, or shaping tracks in his Las Vegas studio, Les is still proving that passion doesn’t fade—it just finds bigger stages and brighter lights. Catch him while he’s in town, because the beat never stops for a drummer who was born to keep the world in rhythm!

Rob Hussey Leads A Full Scale Neon‑Fueled Rock Riot With Cyanide’s New Hit And Music Vid "Get Up And Dance"

It's good to be home! And I'm back just in time for a hot one!

Las Vegas just got slapped with a full‑throttle sonic uppercut, courtesy of Rob Hussey, Vegas rock machine who writes it, shreds it, produces it, films it, and performs it like he’s got nitro in his veins. His band Cyanide just dropped their newest burner, “Get Up and Dance,” and both the track and the video are already detonating across the scene like a stack of amps pushed past their redline!

The music video hit YouTube Thursday night at 9 PM Pacific, and the second it went live, it felt like someone flipped the switch on a Vegas power surge. I spun the track on Spotify, cranked up the volume, and watched the video twice back‑to‑back — this vid is straight up Vegas Hot, no filter, no brakes!

“Get Up and Dance” is a high‑octane hard‑rock rager, built on monster riffs, skyscraper‑sized hooks, and that classic arena‑rock DNA that makes you want to stomp, shout, and throw horns until sunrise. It’s the kind of track that doesn’t ask you to move — it orders you to.

Cyanide On Spotify

Get Up And Dance On Spotify

And the video?

It's a pure chaos nuclear cinema explosion!

Fire blasting, lights strobing, bodies flying, the whole thing dripping with that wild‑child, Sin City swagger. It’s a love letter to the golden age of hard rock, but shot through a modern, adrenaline‑soaked lens only Rob Hussey could pull off. This is rock ’n’ roll with gasoline poured on top!

"Official Music Video"

Cyanide didn’t just release a song — they launched a party grenade into the Vegas music scene. And judging by the early buzz, the blast radius is global!

To Rob and the boys: thanks for keeping the Vegas rock heartbeat pounding loud enough for the world to feel it.

Cyanide just lit the fuse! “Get Up and Dance” proves real rock still hits like a desert thunderbolt. Turn it up, watch the vid, feel the burn, and ride the chaos that Rob Hussey & Cyanide bring to the local LV Music Scene!

Keeping The Beat Alive: Las Vegas Local Musician Dwayne Stiff’s Take On The Local Music Industry

Earlier this month, I wrote an article titled:

Is The Las Vegas Local Music Scene Going Down For The Last Time?

In my article, I discussed how the popularity of the local music scene seems to be dwindling around Las Vegas. Let's just say that the article drew many comments on my Facebook page from venue management, fans, and from the entertainers (musicians) themselves, including this well-thought-out In-depth comment (article) from Dwayne Stiff ( Throckmore ).

I was blown away by his comments and thoughts below about the current situation that the local music industry is facing in Las Vegas.
I believe that many others in our local music industry have much the same feelings and outlook that Dwayne expressed. After you read Dwayne's article, please feel free to comment below the article.

Dwayne's Article (Comments)

Why local patronage—not nostalgia—will decide its future

Recent conversations around town, sparked by a thoughtful piece from local writer Gary
England and echoed in a discussion I had with a venue owner whose only goal is to bring
live entertainment to his community, have raised a familiar, uncomfortable question: Is
the live music scene in Las Vegas really dying?
After more than two decades of calling Las Vegas home, my answer is this: it’s
complicated. In some ways, the scene is struggling. In others, it’s quietly surviving. What
happens next depends largely on whether locals decide the music scene is worth
supporting.
Big on Spectacle, Small in Reality
When I moved to Las Vegas from the East Coast 20 years ago, one thing became
immediately clear: Vegas is not the sprawling metropolis it appears to be. The Strip creates
an illusion of endless scale—resorts stacked back-to-back, tourists ferried from one
spectacle to the next—but the city itself is relatively compact and geographically isolated.
Compare that to places like Florida’s I-4 corridor, where interconnected cities support a
dense network of venues, musicians, and fans. There, local scenes overlap and reinforce
one another. In Las Vegas, entertainment has always leaned heavily toward high-dollar,
tourist-driven productions rather than grassroots, neighborhood-based culture.
That focus has consequences.
The Dual Reality of Las Vegas Entertainment
Las Vegas earns its title as the Entertainment Capital of the World. Legendary
residencies—from Sinatra and Elvis to Celine Dion—built its reputation. Today, massive
productions like Cirque du Soleil, Blue Man Group, and nonstop A-list tours fill arenas such
as Allegiant Stadium, T-Mobile Arena, and MGM Grand Garden Arena more frequently than
any other city in the world.
Mid-sized venues like House of Blues, Brooklyn Bowl, and Freemont Country Club provide
important bridges between mega-shows and local stages.
But when people talk about a “dying” scene, they aren’t talking about stadiums. They’re
talking about the neighborhood venues—the places that support cover bands, tribute acts, and local original artists trying to make a name for themselves. That’s where the strain is
real.

The Economics No One Wants to Talk About

In most cities, live music survives on a simple formula: modest cover charges or advance
ticket sales that help pay for the bands. Five or ten dollars at the door has long been the
norm in the majority of markets I have been in. There are some exceptions to this rule in
places like New Orleans and Nashville, where there are streets lined with bars for the
multitude of tourists who are there to drink and hop from bar to bar. Or the beach bars
where a guy with his acoustic guitar and a backing track can entertain customers and
tourists with a little "Cheeseburger in Paradise". Both exceptions have a common
theme...they are tourists destinations. But, outside of those tourist driven areas, cover
charges and ticket sales still exist as the norm.
Las Vegas has a deeply ingrained culture of free entertainment. Casinos have spent
decades offering lounge acts at no charge to keep people gambling and drinking. And there
are casinos sprawled across the small city for tourists and locals. However, that mentality
has spilled into the local music scene. Many local patrons actually resist paying cover
charges—even small ones.
Independent local venues can’t survive on that logic.
A bar is a business with serious overhead: rent is higher in Vegas than most other cities not
named New York, Los Angeles or Chicago (one off-Strip venue cited $16,000 a month for
6,000 square feet). Then there are utilities, insurance, maintenance, staffing, and licenses
(just to scratch the surface). Live music adds additional expenses for sound systems,
engineers, repairs, and legally required music licenses on top of those everyday operating
costs.
Yes—licenses. Under U.S. copyright law, venues must obtain permission to publicly
perform copyrighted music (Covers and Tributes). That permission comes through
Performance Rights Organizations (PROs) like ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and GMR. Most bars
pay for a blanket license so bands can play freely—but those licenses typically cost
between $300 and $1,200 per year.
Just to break even, a bar with a $16,000 rent (plus normal operating costs) must sell
approximately 600 drinks every night just to break even. That is before factoring in paying
bands and those additional costs for entertainment.
Without consistent cover charges or ticket revenue, more and more venues are being
forced to either cut band pay—or shut their doors altogether.

The 2025 closure of Count’s Vamp’d, a beloved rock venue that operated for more than 16
years, is a painful example. High costs, shifting economics, proper bar and restaurant
management knowledge as well as operational challenges eventually made survival
impossible according to a recent interview with former owner Danny "The Count" Koker.

From the Bands’ Side of the Stage

Local musicians generally fall into three groups:
Cover bands, playing familiar hits by other artists
Tribute acts, recreating the illusion of iconic artists
Original artists, creates and performs new music in hopes that everyone else will
eventually play in Cover bands
No matter which one you are in (many musicians are in multiple), bands face their own
expenses—gear, rehearsal space, transportation, recording, promotion, merch, etc.. Yet
pay has stagnated or declined.
Here’s a reality check: in 1992, minimum wage was $3.75 an hour. That same year, I was
making $100 per night per musician playing in a five-piece cover band. That’s $500 paid to
the band per night—33 years ago.
Today? Many bands are still lucky to get $500 for a night’s work. And before I get attacked in
the comments from the "Online Keyboard Warriors" saying "I get paid more than that!" OK,
a few are getting paid more and think it's because you are the best in town and worth it. It's
OK rockstar, we all know how special and great and amazing you all are, get over it! I am
talking about the average pay across the Vegas music scene, not you special ones with
inside ties.
It's not nostalgia—it’s math. Band pay has effectively seen zero growth, sometimes worse,
while nearly everything else has tripled in cost. Minimum wage has risen roughly 300%.
While bands continue to make the same or less than they did 33 years ago.
At the moment, Vegas seems especially drawn towards Tribute acts--what we used to call
"Impersonators". My only guess is Tributes tend to fare better as "sure draws" due to the
lower cost than seeing the real thing, thus boosting attendance, which in turn boosts bar
sales. The House of Blues in Mandalay Bay and my friends at Outlaw Entertainment seem
to have found a great working model. They have been able to consistently pack the house
by offering free tickets to tribute shows while charging premium on-strip prices ($25+) for
drinks. Since it is on the strip, they are drawing in both locals and tourists using a model
that once built Las Vegas, the "Vegas Free Show"! The venue is making money from high drink prices and volume, the bands are making money by drawing in the crowds, and the
crowds are packing the joints. But this model can only work best on the strip where tourists
can contribute to the venues bottom line though high-priced drink sales. Off the Strip, that
approach rarely scales.
One of the most frequent criticisms directed at off-Strip, locally focused venues concerns
drink pricing. Prices typically range from $3 to $15 per beverage—averaging around $10—
depending largely on a venue’s proximity to the Strip or downtown tourist corridors. While
these prices are often compared unfavorably to expectations for “local” establishments,
they remain far below the $25-and-up drink prices commonly found at Strip resorts.
Even accounting for commercial rents that can be two to three times higher in Las Vegas,
beverage pricing at off-Strip venues is largely in line with comparable live-music and local
entertainment spaces in other major markets.

“I Don’t Pay for Drinks—I Gamble for Them”

I recently overheard someone at a bar say, “I don’t pay for drinks—I gamble for them.” That
statement perfectly captures the Vegas mindset.
Here’s the reality: when you put $20 into a bar-top slot machine, you’ll usually play until you
either win or lose that $20. If you lose, congratulations—you just bought yourself a $20
drink instead of a $10 one. If you win, it feels like a victory. But the math doesn’t lie. The
average bar-top slot machine in Vegas pays out about 90%. That means the house keeps 10
cents of every dollar played. Over time, those “free” drinks cost roughly the same as paying
for them outright.
Those machines aren’t there to make you rich—they’re there to keep the lights on. And if
you enjoy live music in that venue, that math matters.

Why Local Patronage Matters Now

The local music scene in Vegas isn’t doomed—but it is fragile. And it won’t survive without
local support.
Here are my personal observations regarding the current state of the local Las Vegas music
scene.
In many cases, the audience at local shows is composed largely of other musicians and
members of local bands—artists supporting one another on nights when they are not
performing themselves. While friends and family do attend, the broader general public
appears increasingly disengaged from live music at neighborhood bars and local venues.
One contributing factor is the instability of these venues; many do not remain open long

enough to cultivate a consistent, loyal customer base. Thus, making it difficult for the
owners to consistently have the income to cover high rents and operating costs.
Compounding this challenge is the pervasive culture of free entertainment fostered by the
casino-driven economy. That expectation that has spilled into the local market, leading
even resident patrons to resist cover charges or ticketed events at independent venues that
do not benefit from tourist-driven revenue. As a result, local music spaces face mounting
difficulty sustaining both attendance and long-term viability.
With tourism dipping in 2025 (down 6-11% in some metrics due to costs and perceptions),
and costs rising across the board, sustaining local culture matters more than ever.
Paying a $10 cover is less than a latte or a even a few spins on a slot machine. Tipping
bands, buying their merch, and showing up to discover new music from original artists all
make a difference. These venues and musicians aren’t faceless corporations—they’re
neighbors taking real risks to create something meaningful.
If we want nights filled with live music, discovery, and community, we have to invest in
them. Otherwise, more venues like Vamp’d will disappear, leaving only the high-priced
mega-spectacles behind.
Las Vegas can have both.
But only if locals (music fans) decide the music scene is worth showing up for!

Spoken like a most knowledgeable, traveled musician of many years!

Ace Frehley: The Pulse Behind the Paint

Yesterday, the world lost Ace Frehley!

My pop art creation, along with what I said on Facebook this morning, pretty much says it all for me.

{My Facebook Post From this morning}

(We) Will Never Forget!
I followed these four amazing music artists, Rock Stars, throughout my media career. It's kind a' like we grew up together. These four amazing people are a big part of why I'm still covering music in my 70's. Yes, you'll always live inside of me 🙂 #Ace #Ozzy #Tom #Eddie #popart #caricature #painting

{More of my thoughts}

Ace Frehley, known as "The Spaceman," was more than just the original lead guitarist of KISS, he was a cosmic force who electrified rock music with his raw talent, rebellious spirit, and otherworldly persona. Fans connected deeply with his unfiltered authenticity, blistering solos, and the sense of mystery he brought to the stage.

As a founding member of one of rock’s most iconic bands, Ace Frehley helped shape the sound and spectacle of an era, inspiring generations of musicians and fans alike. His legacy is etched into the DNA of rock history, and his passing leaves a void that reverberates far beyond the music world!

The Music Visions Of Mitch Perry

In Rock guitar circles, Mitch Perry's name commands Respect! Over the course of his career, he’s built a reputation as one of the most versatile and passionate players in the industry, having shared the stage and studio with legends such as The Edgar Winter Group, Lita Ford, MSG, and Cher. His playing combines fire and finesse, blistering when it needs to be yet always rooted in feel and in passion. For years, Mitch Perry has been the go-to guitarist who can elevate any project, regardless of its style or setting.

But there came a point when he wanted more than to stand beside the greats; he wanted to carve out his own lane and create music that fully expressed his vision. That’s when the Mitch Perry Group came to life. Bringing together a powerhouse lineup of seasoned musicians, the band became a vehicle for Mitch to craft the kind of rock music he had always loved: soulful, blues-inspired, guitar-driven, and filled with genuine emotion.

The group’s debut album, Music Box, is the result of that vision. More than just a collection of songs, it’s a statement of identity, an album born from decades of experience, shaped by the chemistry of the band, and recorded with the kind of authenticity that only comes from musicians playing together in the room. The making of Music Box was less about overproduction and more about capturing real energy, and it shows. Every track carries the grit, soul, and passion of artists who live and breathe rock and roll.

The music visions of Mitch Perry!

Standout Tracks on Music Box

What makes Music Box shine is not just Mitch Perry’s virtuosity on the guitar, but how the entire album blends musicianship with emotion. Each track carries its own personality, and together they paint a complete picture of the Mitch Perry Group’s sound. All songs were written, performed, and produced by Mitch himself.

“Music Box” – The title track is where the band’s chemistry is on full display. It’s layered, dynamic, and perfectly balanced between punchy riffs and melodic passages. This song feels like the heart of the album, a showcase not just of Mitch’s guitar work, but of the Mitch Perry Group as a cohesive unit, playing with both precision and passion. To View "Music Box" Video Teaser

"Music Box" On Spotify   "Music Box" On Discogs   "Music Box" On SoundCloud

“Wasted Time” – Bluesy, soulful, and heartfelt, “Wasted Time” slows things down and gives the band room to stretch. Mitch’s guitar lines here are as emotional as they are technical, weaving around the vocals in a way that almost feels like a conversation. It’s one of those tracks that sticks with you long after the final note fades. To View "Wasted Time" Video

“Believe” – This song sets the tone with a mix of uplifting energy and raw power. It’s a track that captures Mitch Perry’s ability to write music that’s both melodic and driving. The guitar work here is crisp and soaring, but what really makes it special is the message, one of hope and perseverance, themes that feel especially relevant today. To View "Believe" Video

Other highlights include “Saint Valentine”, with its infectious groove and classic rock swagger, and “In the Morning”, a song that shows the group’s ability to blend softer textures with big, powerful choruses. Tracks like these prove that Music Box isn’t just about great guitar playing; it’s about the songwriting and storytelling that Mitch Perry has brought to the music industry for years!

Altogether, the album feels like a journey, moving from high-energy rockers to introspective ballads, all tied together by the band’s undeniable musicianship.

MC Comedian Musician Radio Personality Podcaster: Who Is This Superman They Call Izzy Presley?

 Who Is Izzy Presley?

He's a talented MC, a hilarious comedian, a top-shelf musician, and a radio personality and podcaster who gets your attention! I'd like to add "Rock Star" to the list, but Izzy claims that he's not there yet!

If Las Vegas had a cultural Swiss Army knife, it might well be Izzy Presley. Izzy wears his many hats with a flourish that turns every stage into a story and every riff into a riff-raff romance with style! His persona is part rock-and-roll alley cat, part cheeky outlaw, all spectacles on the grand stages around the world!

Izzy fronts two big bands, ACK! A Tribute to Ace Frehley and plays with Mike Dawson & The Smokin’ Kills. Away from music, Izzy brings his comedic chops to hosting and MC duties, engaging audiences around the world with his entertaining wit and personality. He’s the voice behind Another F’n Podcast, a long-running show that’s amassed over 400 episodes over the years.

While Izzy’s comedic presence is most prominently felt through his podcast, he also brings that same energy into his live performances and big-name events. As one of the top sought-after MCs and comedians in Las Vegas and around the world, Izzy brings his entertaining brand of off-the-wall comedy and his magnetic charisma to wherever he performs! And I'm proud to say that I get to work with him twice a year at the Las Vegas Guitar Trade Show event held in June and in November of each year at the Silverton Hotel Casino in LV!

Just a note about his entertaining podcast:

For over a decade, Another F'n Podcast has been Izzy’s flagship medium, featuring a wild mix of interviews and stand-up-style commentary. The podcast covers everything from rock legends and tour stories to offbeat pop-culture anecdotes, with a rotating cast of guests, from musicians and comics to podcasters and more, maybe even a porn star or two.

To me, Another F'n Podcast is Izzy Presley!

My Eulogy For The Prince Of Darkness Rest In Peace Ozzy: Mama He's Coming Home

Few names in rock and metal history evoke as much reverence and rebellion as Ozzy Osbourne.

The “Prince of Darkness” didn’t just help create heavy metal; he embodied it. From his working-class roots in Birmingham, England to the grand stages of global superstardom, Ozzy’s journey was wild, unfiltered, tragic, triumphant, and always unforgettable!

Ozzy first broke onto the scene as the frontman for Black Sabbath in 1969, a band whose dark riffs and ominous tone would define a genre. With tracks like “Paranoid,” “War Pigs,” and “Iron Man,” Ozzy’s haunting vocals became the voice of a generation disillusioned by war and politics, craving something raw and real. He didn’t sing songs, he unleashed them.

After Sabbath, Ozzy’s solo career soared higher than anyone expected. With the help of guitar prodigy Randy Rhoads, albums like Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman proved he wasn’t just a metal frontman; he was a cultural force. Songs like “Crazy Train” and “Mr. Crowley” are now eternal anthems of rock radio, and his stage presence, equal parts chaos and charisma, made him a must-see act for all music fans of all ages!

But Ozzy’s impact goes far beyond music. His resilience in the face of addiction, personal loss, and public scrutiny is part of his legend. He was real when the world wanted polished. He was vulnerable when the world expected bravado. He became a reality TV icon later in life, and still somehow never lost his identity, a feat few artists can claim.

Ozzy Osbourne isn’t just a rock star. He’s a survivor, a pioneer, and a voice that refused to be silenced. Whether you knew him from Sabbath, MTV, or the stage at Ozzfest, his influence is undeniable. He opened the gates for generations of artists, and his legacy continues to thunder through every power chord and growl that echoes in his wake!

Here’s to Ozzy Osbourne, The bat-biting, boundary-breaking, genre-defining godfather of metal.

We've all been blessed to know you through your awesome music!

May you live forever as the Prince of Darkness!
