Las Vegas Local Music Scene 2025: A Year Of Shifts Survival And Reinvention

My look back at the venues, bands, musicians, and Individuals in the local music industry,

that re-shaped the local Las Vegas music scene as it heads into the new year 2026.

A Year Marked by Closures, and the Ripple Effect That They Created!

2025 wasn’t gentle with Las Vegas entertainment. While most headlines focused on Strip shows and major festivals, the local scene felt the deeper tremors of a shifting and weakening economy. That downturn didn’t just hit casinos; it squeezed the lifeblood out of the local music industry. Both small and mid‑sized venues suffered.

Venue Closures That Hurt!

Count's Vamp'd

A longtime anchor for rock, metal, and tribute acts. Its closure left a huge crater in the west‑side rock community, a place where bands cut their teeth, fans built friendships, and touring acts found a warm home away from home!

Club Madrid at Sunset Station

A reliable home for classic rock, country, and dance‑friendly cover bands. Its disappearance removed one of the valley’s most consistent off‑Strip booking rooms.

Sand Dollar at the Plaza Hotel

While the original Sand Dollar Lounge remains iconic, the Plaza location’s closure tightened the pipeline for blues, funk, and late‑night jam culture downtown.

 Additional Closures

Though most 2025 closure reporting focused on restaurants and Strip attractions, the pattern was clear: venues with mid‑tier foot traffic struggled (local music venues), with several smaller rooms quietly discontinuing booking live music or shutting down entirely.

A handful of venues would book a band or two over a few weeks, then not book bands for weeks, or not at all.

Bands had to fight harder for slots. Promoters scrambled. Fans migrated. And the city’s musical map redrew itself almost overnight.

New Rooms, New Energy. The Replacements Step Up

In true Las Vegas fashion, new venues rose to meet the moment, each bringing its own flavor to the music scene! The venues that I'm about to mention really caught my attention.

The Copa Room – Tuscany Hotel

A breakout star of 2025. The Copa leaned into showroom‑style rock, tribute acts, and polished local showcases, giving bands a stage with production value and a built‑in audience.

 The Bonfire LV

A gritty, guitar‑forward room that embraced the hard rock and metal community. It quickly became a go‑to for bands needing a reliable stage with a loyal crowd, a spiritual successor to the rock‑centric venues that closed.

Other Venues That Carried the Torch

Bands & individuals in the scene that rose to the top!

With fewer stages and more competition, only the hungriest bands and musicians thrived, with several local bands and musicians stepping up in a big way!

Heroine Honey

High‑energy, high‑charisma rock that built a loyal following through relentless gigging, an outstanding social media presence, and standout HoT (and sexy) stage performances! Definitely, one band to go and see in 2026!

The Far Worst

A punk‑driven force that brought edge and authenticity to every room they hit. The band is HoT, their music is Hot, and their lead singer just might be hotter! At the top going into 2026.

 Dr Rock

The doctor is a staple of the Las Vegas music scene, and on top of our local rock circuit, delivering classic‑rock‑theater energy that keeps crowds coming to the Fremont Street Experience

Rob Hussey is Back!

 Cyanide

A metal powerhouse that filled the void left by the closures, quickly becoming a go‑to for fans craving heavy metal riffs.

Red Hot – Mötley Crüe Tribute

One of the strongest tribute acts in the valley, keeping the Sunset Strip spirit alive.

To me, these two bands are the "Bad Boys Of The Heavy Metal Scene in LV"

Go See Them, both bands are Red Hot!

Keith Robert War

A standout vocalist and performer who elevated every lineup he joined!

You love the music of KISS? This musician's for you!

Check his social media for performances.

Izzy Presley

A charismatic frontman and host who brought LA‑meets‑Vegas swagger to our local music scene!

You can catch both Keith Robert War, and Izzy Presley the night after Christmas.

Event Information

And lastly, a place for the Local Las Vegas Music Scene to call Home!

 Sixx Gun Music

To me, Sixx Gun Music is a community hub. Their stage kept busy by local musicians performing and trying out new equipment, as well as touring Icons stopping by, workshops, get-togethers, and a place to get the hottest in guitars and accessories. Need I say more?

How the Scene Changed in 2025

 Fewer venues meant higher standards.

Bands had to bring professionalism, their A-Game, promotions, and performance quality to stay booked. The bands that stayed fresh in the minds of their fans rose to the top. The bands that did this, represent our local music scene quite well !

To the bands and musicians, and individuals that did their part in keeping our local music industry afloat that I might not have mentioned, thank you!

{My Take}

2025 was a year of loss, grit, and reinvention for the Las Vegas music scene. But Vegas has never been a city that fades; it adapts.

The closures hurt. The survivors hustled. And the local bands and local music talent kept the flame burning hot!

As 2026 approaches, Vegas isn’t just keeping the lights on. It’s rebuilding the stage, one room, one band, and one night at a time!

When Legends Rise: The Stories Behind Major League Baseball’s Most Unforgettable Moments

1st, congratulations to the LA Dodgers for winning this year and back-to-back Major League Baseball World Series Championships!

Major League Baseball (MLB) has long been a stage for drama, dominance, and dazzling individual brilliance. While winning a single World Series is a monumental achievement, only a select few teams have etched their names into history by winning back-to-back championships. Even rarer are the moments when players or teams defy expectations with extraordinary accomplishments that transcend the sport.

Winning consecutive World Series titles is one of the hardest feats in baseball due to its long season, unpredictable playoffs, and fierce competition. Only 14 teams have managed this since the World Series began in 1903.

New York Yankees (1998–2000): The last true dynasty, the Yankees won three straight titles, sweeping the Padres and Braves before defeating the Mets in the Subway Series.

Toronto Blue Jays (1992–1993): Led by Joe Carter’s iconic walk-off homer in ’93, the Jays became the first non-U.S. team to win back-to-back titles.

Los Angeles Dodgers (2024–2025): After a 25-year drought without repeat champions, the Dodgers broke through with a thrilling Game 7 win over the Blue Jays in 2025

MLB’s rich tapestry includes moments that defy logic and elevate legends. Here are some of the most remarkable:

Individual Brilliance

Cal Ripken Jr. played 2,632 consecutive games, shattering Lou Gehrig’s record and redefining endurance.

Ichiro Suzuki recorded 262 hits in 2004, the most in a single season, blending speed, precision, and consistency.

Fernando Tatis Jr. hit two grand slams in one inning in 1999—a feat unmatched in MLB history.

Team Feats

Oakland Athletics (2002): Won 20 straight games, the longest winning streak in American League history, immortalized in Moneyball.

Chicago Cubs (2016): Ended a 108-year championship drought, the longest in professional sports.

Boston Red Sox (2004): Overcame a 3–0 ALCS deficit against the Yankees, the only team to do so in MLB postseason history, then swept the Cardinals to win their first title in 86 years.

 Quirky Records

Rickey Henderson stole 1,406 bases, more than any other player—he also holds the record for most leadoff home runs.

Nolan Ryan threw seven no-hitters, a record that may never be broken.

Barry Bonds hit 73 home runs in 2001 and walked 232 times in 2004, both single-season records.

The Magic of MLB

Baseball’s beauty lies in its unpredictability. A team can go from last place to champions in a year. A player can rise from obscurity to stardom with one swing. And every October, legends are born.

Whether it’s the grind of a 162-game season or the poetry of a walk-off home run, MLB continues to deliver moments that captivate fans and shape the legacy of America’s pastime!

{My Take}

Baseball’s greatest stories aren’t just written in box scores; they’re etched in moments of grit, glory, and the improbable. From dynasties that ruled October to players who rewrote the record books with flair and fearlessness, Major League Baseball continues to be a canvas for the extraordinary. Whether it’s a team defying history with back-to-back titles or a lone slugger launching two grand slams in one inning, these feats remind us why the game endures: it’s not just about winning, it’s about leaving a legacy!

My 1st Car Stars Car Show < post

The World's Greatest Gathering Of TV And Movie Cars And Stars Is Back!

Paul Casey's Car Stars Returns In The Spring 2026!

{My take & pics}

This past weekend, the Water Street District in Henderson, Nevada, roared to life with chrome, horsepower, and heart at Paul Casey's Car Stars Car Show. The event drew an impressive turnout of gleaming classic cars and vintage trucks, each one a testament to automotive artistry and nostalgia. Enthusiasts and families alike strolled the sunlit streets, soaking in the sights and sounds of revving engines and retro tunes.

More than just a feast for the eyes, the show proudly supported two incredible causes, the Children’s Miracle Network and Pawsitive Difference Pet Rescue—making every polished fender and roaring engine part of something bigger.

Thanks to all the car owners, honored guests, and all the car enthusiasts who came out to celebrate and support these two worthy charities.

Here are a few photos that I took at this weekend's Car Stars event.

Dynasty Acceleration: Comparing The WNBA Las Vegas Aces To Sports’ Fastest Champions

Las Vegas Aces

In the world of professional sports, dynasties are forged through dominance, consistency, and a touch of magic. But few teams, in any league, male or female, have ignited a championship run as quickly and decisively as the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces.

Since relocating from San Antonio and rebranding in 2018, the Aces have transformed from expansion hopefuls into a juggernaut. With three championships in just four seasons (2022, 2023, and 2025), they’ve not only cemented their place in WNBA history, but they’ve also entered the conversation as one of the fastest-rising dynasties in all of professional sports.

The Aces’ journey began with a bold vision: build around superstar A’ja Wilson, surround her with elite talent, and create a culture of winning. That vision materialized with stunning speed. By 2020, they were already in the Finals. By 2022, they were champions. And by 2025, they had hoisted their third trophy, all within seven seasons of existence.

Comparing the Las Vegas Aces to other legendary teams:

  • Houston Comets (WNBA): Won four straight titles from 1997–2000, starting in the league’s inaugural season.

  • Chicago Bulls (NBA): Their first three-peat came in 1990-1993, and once again in 1996-1998.

  • New York Yankees (MLB): Their early dominance took decades to build.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL): Their four Super Bowls in six years came after 40+ years of struggle.

The Aces’ ascent is not just fast, it’s unprecedented for a relocated franchise with no prior championship pedigree.

Only one team arguably rivals the Aces in championship velocity: the Houston Comets, who won four titles in the WNBA’s first four seasons. However, the Comets were part of a brand-new league, and their dominance occurred during a formative era. The Aces, by contrast, are thriving in a mature, talent-rich WNBA, making their feat even more impressive.

In men’s sports, no team has matched this pace from its inaugural season onward. Expansion teams typically take years, even decades, to contend. The Aces flipped that script.

The Las Vegas Aces aren’t just winning; they’re redefining what’s possible for new franchises. Their blend of star power, strategic brilliance, and cultural resonance has made them the blueprint for modern sports dynasties.

Whether they add a fourth title or not, their place in history is secure. But if they do? We may be witnessing the fastest dynasty ever, not just in women’s sports, but in all of professional athletics.

{My Take}

In the grand arena of professional sports, where dynasties are often decades in the making, the Las Vegas Aces have shattered expectations and rewritten the timeline. From their inaugural season as a relocated franchise to three championships in just four years, their rise is not only meteoric, but also virtually unmatched. No other team, male or female, has captured so many titles so swiftly after inception, making the Aces a living testament to what happens when talent, vision, and culture collide. If history is the scoreboard, the Aces aren’t just winning, they’re redefining what a dynasty looks like in real time!

My Look At The Las Vegas Raiders 2025 Season: The Good And The Not-So-Good Things That I See

The Silver and Black enter the 2025 NFL season with plenty of intrigue. Raider Nation always has high expectations, and this year is no different. But while there are clear signs of progress, there are also lingering concerns that could hold the team back.

The Good:

1st, I like the new head coach, Pete Carroll, a lot! Enough said.

FYI: Remember, I was ghostwriting the Cowboys during the Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer head coaching eras. And yes, I believe head coaches do make a big difference in teams' winning (Or losing) ball games!

The Raiders’ defense looks sharper and more aggressive, anchored by Maxx Crosby, who continues to play at an elite level. The secondary has shown improvement with stronger coverage and better depth, giving the unit more balance than in recent years. Offensively, the run game has been steadier, giving the team more balance and taking pressure off the quarterback. And I like Geno Smith a lot at QB! His experience and leadership is a big plus to the Raiders!

There’s a new sense of belief that this roster can compete with anyone on any given Sunday. We'll see on opening day, September 7th, when the Raiders take the field to battle the New England Pats!

The Not-So-Good:

The biggest question mark remains consistency at quarterback. Flashes of talent have been there, but turnovers and missed opportunities continue to haunt the offense in key moments. Will Geno Smith be the answer? I think he will. The offensive line still struggles against top-tier pass rushes, making sustained drives harder to come by. On top of that, the Raiders face a tough AFC West, where every divisional game feels like a playoff battle. To truly rise, they’ll need to turn those close losses into wins!

{My Take}

The Raiders of 2025 are a team on the verge; they have the talent to make noise, but whether they become a true playoff contender or just another middle-of-the-pack squad depends on solving their offensive inconsistency. Raider Nation has waited a long time for a breakthrough, and this season just might be the one that shows which direction the franchise is truly heading. To the playoffs would be nice!

How The 2025 Electric Daisy Carnival In Las Vegas Broke Records and Reimagined the Rave

Well, the EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) has come and gone again.

For those who don't know. The Electric Daisy Carnival is the world’s largest electronic-dance-music festival and one of Nevada’s biggest annual events. For three straight overnights, the Las Vegas Speedway is transformed into a neon playground filled with:

Eight-plus colossal stages—each rebuilt yearly around a different fantastical theme and kitted with cutting-edge LED, laser, and pyro rigs. 2025’s kinetic FIELD features a crystalline “Temple of Light” design framed by 28 moving petals.

Carnival midway packed with thrill rides, interactive art installations, and free-to-ride wedding chapels where thousands of couples have actually tied the knot.

Camp EDC—a pop-up city of 23k campers featuring its own pool, after-hours stages, and wellness programming.

Roving art cars & secret sets—flatbed-truck sound systems that host surprise sunrise DJ sets from A-list acts playing incognito.

EDC leans heavily into rave roots: kandi trading, totem poles, imaginative costumes, and the PLUR credo (Peace Love Unity Respect). Despite the spectacle, Insomniac pushes harm-reduction—free water-refill stations, ground-level medical teams and “Ground Control” volunteers offering earplugs and info.

Revenue engine: With GA passes now north of $575 (fees in), VIP at $1.1 k and on-site spend averaging $110 pp, festival-side gross eclipses $390–400 million.

Regional lift: Hotel sell-outs valley-wide plus “EDC Week” club residencies push total visitor spend toward $1.8 b, according to prior Beacon Economics/LVCVA models.

2025 EDC Attendance and Revenue

Attendance (preliminary): Local officials and Insomniac spokespeople told Las Vegas media outlets that “just over 550,000 people” entered the Las Vegas Motor Speedway over the three-night run, May 16-18, 2025. That breaks the previous record of 525k in 2024. Average nightly headcount was put at 155k Fri / 190k Sat / 205k Sun.

Festival-side gross (tickets + on-site spend):

Rough GA, GA+ and VIP price structure this year (after fees) ran $579 / $799 / $1,099 for three-day passes; Camp EDC packages started at $1,169 per campsite.

Using Insomniac’s disclosed 62 % GA – 25 % GA+ – 13 % VIP sales mix and a conservative $110 per-person on-site spend (food, merch, ride tokens), total festival gross tops $390 - 400 million.

Regional economic impact: The Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority relies on Beacon Economics for its post-event studies (last published for 2022). Scaling their 2022 multiplier ($1.6 b in total activity on 500k attendees) to the verified 2025 headcount puts overall visitor-generated economic activity at $1.7 - 1.8 billion, with about $100 m in state & local taxes.

The LVCVA says its full 2025 report will arrive in late July

The EDC Las Vegas continues to be a cornerstone event in the electronic dance music scene, drawing fans from around the world. With its blend of music, art, and community, the festival offers an unparalleled experience for attendees. And brings in a ton of money for the Las Vegas Community!

Till Next Year!

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class Of 2025 Nominees Announced And Their History In Las Vegas

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 14 nominees for the class of 2025. This year's list features a diverse array of musical artists spanning many different genres and eras.

Notably, eight of these artists are first-time nominees: Bad Company, The Black Crowes, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Maná, OutKast, and Phish.

Maná's nomination is particularly historic, as they are the first Spanish-language band to be considered for induction.

To be eligible for nomination, artists or bands must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior. The final list of inductees will be determined by an international voting panel of over 1,200 artists, historians, and music industry professionals. The selection criteria include an artist's impact on music culture, influence on other musicians, and the longevity and depth of their career.

The inductees will be announced in late April 2025, with the induction ceremony scheduled to take place in Los Angeles in the fall. Fans also have the opportunity to participate in the selection process through the Rock Hall's Fan Vote, which is open until April 21, 2025.

< Fans Vote Here >
